We are booked in a 9c on the 11 night Norway and Iceland cruise this year. I have been looking a changing our stateroom but the prices are showing the current prices rather than the original prices like when I have moved staterooms before. It’s saying it will cost £5k more to move to a 10a!! A Verandah is obviously even more. Does anyone else have this problem with other cruises? Not sure if this is a glitch or Disney have changed the way they work it out. If so I will need to book my stateroom carefully in the future.

I would call DCL they might be able to upgrade you at prior costs on the phone. The internet will not accommodate you though.

You should call DCL. In the past, changing a stateroom for the same cruise has been priced the same as it was on the day you made the original booking. Because stateroom price increases do not all move in lockstep, changing based on the number of vacant staterooms in a particular category as bookings are made, the CM will have to research the stateroom price increase history to determine the cost for your particular stateroom change. I used to use the Cruisefish site to track price changes, but it appears that site might be a victim of the virus.

Thanks, will phone them in a couple of days once the new bookings have calmed down. I just hope they haven’t changed their policy because I had previously done it online.

When I tried to modify a stateroom the other day, it showed the current price, but when you review the reservation prior to accepting the changes, it showed the correct price and not the current price shown on the previous screen.

Thanks, that’s very helpful. I ended up phoning yesterday and got a more reasonable price.
