Modifying a split stay

we have a split stay scheduled for 8/14-8/22 at ASM then 8/22-8-29 at SSR. This is all booked using the passholders discount. Preferred rooms for both. We decided we would like more time at SSR and want to switch resorts on the 20th instead of the 22nd.
When I tried to do it online I could change my SSR reservation but it increased it by $313 a night for the 2 nights instead of the $243 I'm paying now. I looked at just booking those 2 days separately and right now it's showing $267 a night. Also, when I tried to change my ASM reservation to shorten it by 2 days it wanted me to rebook the whole thing and there is no availability left so I couldn't change it there. To further complicate things I've already paid for all of ASM with gift cards and part of the SSR.
Any idea on how to get this done without having to pay more for SSR and not lose our ASM reservation? Thanks.

They not treat changes as new reservarions when adding and subtracting days so if the discount you originally booked on isn't available your price is going to go up. You can call but it is possible they will say the same thing.

Thanks for the reply. Quick update in case anyone has a similar situation

I called Disney and got a super helpful and knowledgeable cast member who was easily able to add my two days onto my SSR stay at the same rate and keep the same reservation number. For the ASM stay she had to have guest services change it for me which just took a few minutes. Since I had already paid off the ASM stay with a gift card she gave me the option of putting the money back on the gift card or keeping it as a credit to use towards purchases made while we were at the resort. I chose to leave it as a credit.
She was so helpful and nice I made sure to stay on the line and do the survey giving her great marks
