Modifying a reservation to one w/more points

Hi - If I have a reservation for a 2 bedroom villa standard view can I modify to another view if available without losing my current reservation until additional points are taken to secure my new reservation online? I mean, I know I can keep what I have and try to modify dates without losing my current reservation, I just am not sure if changing to a different view is like making a whole new reservation. But the other view pops up when I click 'modify'.

As long as you have the points available you can modify it without fear of "losing" anything.
