Moderators... please help! (dmrick)

Hi,
I have a problem! I have been trying to reply to DMrick's pm to me for WEEKS. It wouldn't go through saying that their PMs were full and I haven't seen her on the board so I figured she was out of town and that's why her PMs were full.

Well now she is PMing me again and also thinks she's offended me in some way since she can see I've read the PM but she thinks I'm just not responding!!!! I am TRYING to respond- but it says her PMs are full each time!

Is there any way one of the moderators can please help me (in case she doesn't check the community board and therefore doesn't see this thread) by contacting her and letting her know her PMs are full? I know it says it emails them to let them know- but apparently she's not getting the email to let her know her PMs are full or SOMETHING. Perhaps she doesn't know you have to delete the sent PMs too or else it will fill up the PM box quickly. I don't know..... I just know it's frustrating because I had her email addy a long time ago and I've somehow lost it... and I have no other way to contact her and now she thinks she's offended me because I'm not responding.... but I AM responding.... my PM just won't go through.

Can anyone help please?

Is her email part of her profile? You could email her and tell her that her pm box is full. I don't think a moderator can help with this. They might be able to help on the technical support board. Have you asked there?

Her email address should have gotten the alert that the PM box is full. When she checks her email she'll clean it out.

Her email addy is showing "private" and like I said, I've lost her email address.
I do not know if she's using an email address with her registration on this board that is invalid now or one she just doesn't check often or what- but meantime she thinks she's offended me and that I'm just not responding. I do know her last PM to me mentioned she figured out how to get responses... I don't know what that means but it's apparent she doesn't realize her PM box is full and that's why she isn't getting my reply PM.

I thought perhaps a moderator could help... or maybe an admin? My only other alternative would be to post a thread like this in every forum I think she would read.... I doubt the moderators would appreciate that. Was hoping they could help in some way.... or maybe others that see this thread could help if you happen to see her posting on another thread or something- let her know? I don't seem to ever see any threads with her posts lately.

A regular plain old moderator like me can't do anything, BBB. Why don't you ask on the technical support board, perhaps they can help you out?

I just hate it that she thinks you are upset with her, what a predicament

I know.... it has me upset that she thinks I'm upset with her and not responding!

Thanks... but it's not really a "technical" thing... it's just a "contacting" her type thing. I don't really see how they could help in the technical support forum. I figured a moderator or admin could contact her in SOME way -even though her PM box is full. Thanks anyway though!

hmm..someone send me this thread. My box isn't full, I haven't gotten a notice saying it was (of course I seldom get notices when I get a PM), and I got several pm's in the past couple of days..so I don't know what the problem is. Is your message to me too long? The PM's are limited.

I sent you a pm, dmrick, and it seemed to go through just fine.

Here are some tips about cleaning out your pm box.
Sometimes there are hidden pm's that we don't realize are there.

I checked the email in your profile and the provider you use is one that has been known to block automated emails from the DIS. Some providers consider them to be spam and automatically delete them. You could very well have been sent notices that your pm box was full, and your provider not forward them on to you.

If you want to get email notifications from the DIS, you might consider switching to a different email address with another provider. If you don't have another one, you can get a free email account and yahoo.com.

I sent you a pm, dmrick, and it seemed to go through just fine.

Yours went through fine. Sometimes I get messages but usually I don't that I have a PM..but I check it once a day, so I have no idea why Bib's won't go through. I'll clean out my box, but there isn't much there to clean, as I'm pretty good at keeping it clean.

I'm not sure why my PM's won't go through- but I assure you that I have sent it several times... from right after you PM'd me! I have had it saved in my email to keep trying to resend since 9-9. I also searched through a bazillion of my emails trying to find any from when we emailed many moons ago... but couldn't find them.

Anyway, I'm just glad you saw this post and now know I haven't been ignoring you! I'll attempt to send the PM again and if it won't go through again- I'll copy/paste what it says and post it on this thread.

Well, it went through just fine now... and I know it wasn't the length causing the problem because I copy/pasted what I have been trying to PM you PLUS wrote a sentence before it... so it's even longer now. LOL

Just glad it finally went through.... but I promise you that I have tried every single time I have come to the disboard since 9/9.... and I have no reason to be upset with you! Don't ever think that please!

Wishing I still had your email addy...... LOL
