So with the new Kabuki Cafe open at the Japan Pavilion and other Japan restaurants... do you know/think/hope that Mochi Ice Cream will be available?

If you haven't tried Mochi Ice Cream - make sure you do it sometime soon. Mochi ice cream is a Japanese confection made from mochi (pounded sticky rice) with an ice cream filling.

Anyone know if it is available?

I don't have an answer to your question, but just wanted to say...

I LOVE MOICHI ICE CREAM!!

If you are ever on Oahu go to Bubbies!! So many flavors of Mochi- it is heaven!

I am sooo glad that more people like Mochi Ice Cream?

Anyone had it in WDW?

Anyone know where to buy it in stores? I know our local grocery store does not carry it!

find a local Asian grocery store in your city's Chinatown/Koreatown

Only place I can find real melon soda......

I buy mind from Hmart and I know that they have Levittown and Upper Darby stores in PA and one in Elkins Park (philly).

Yay some in PA!!!! I live in Reaing but will make the special trip :)

I love mochi!!!! The texture is kind of like a marshmallow, but with delicious ice cream on the inside. The green tea is my favorite flavor mmmmmmmm delish. Would be AWESOME if they had it at WDW! Maybe for Food and Wine festival???

I have found mochi at both Whole Foods and Trader Joe's.

I love mochi too! It is so nice to see others here in this forum like it just as much. It is hard to find.

Another mochi fan here! In fact, my French bulldog is named Mochi. BTW, the confection is called mochi ice cream, not just "mochi." Mochi refers to pounded glutinous rice and is used in all sorts of treats, some of which are sold at the Mitsukoshi store in Epcot. Haven't seen mochi ice cream anywhere in WDW, however.

Had a new flavor of mochi the other day, peach! It was amazing ;)

Haven't ever seen mochi in WDW, but you can get your fix locally if you have Trader Joe's nearby. They sell strawberry, chocolate, peach, green tea, pineapple, vanilla, red bean, and chocolate chip flavors. LOVE MOCHI!!

Sounds great! I wish it was closer to my house, but I will remember that when I pass it next time!
