We are considering leaving the car at DLRP when we will then get the RER to our campsite near Maisons Lafitte. Spend 2 nights there going into Paris and then back to DLRP on the Monday morning.
I have been trying to decide which type of ticket to get either the Mobilis or Paris Visite.
I know there was a thread recently about this and a few people seemed to suggest the Mobilis was cheaper.
However if we got a Mobilis ticket (zone 1-5) it would cost 12.50 per day ie for 3 days 37.50
A 3 day Paris Visite ticket would cost 38.10

Slightly more expensive but would mean we didnt have to buy each day.

Also there is a childs priced Paris Visite ticket but I cant find any mention of a reduced price Mobilis ticket. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Also what I really want to know is are there any other benefits of either of these options? Ive been reading about them but cant see that either offer extras attached to them

We just returned from a week at DLRP. Since we planned to go into Paris a few times and to Val d'Europe for snacks and such, we went with the 1 week zone 1-5 pass. That allowed us to use the RER, Metro and buses for the entire week and was much cheaper than paying per ride or buying 10-ticket carnets. Each adult 1-week pass was 32.10 euros and it is valid beginning the day you purchase the ticket.

The only downside was that after we purchased the tickets, we were told that we needed to attach passport-sized photos to an ID card. Since we hadn't brought any, we tried to make photos at the photo booth across from the ticket window (4 euros for 3 or 4 photos), but it wasn't working. So, we decided to go without (not something I recommend for the faint of heart). If you think you might get the weekly ticket, bring some photos with you.

I'm not sure if you can leave your car in the DLP park car park overnight.
We had our registration recorded when we entered our hotel (well actually DCR) and when we left. So the heightened security means that the movement of cars is more closely monitored :)
