Mobile video

Hi

with 5 of us, planes are out.

so, ive been "ebaying" mobile video and installing myself in our truck. (last year's trip was great- ZERO "are we there yets" from PA to FL!)
Each boy had his own game system and screen . plus, each could watch the dvd OR the VCR, OR the TV tuner. The front passenger had a screen in the passenger visor and could pick which to watch also. The driver had a screen with navigation and a cd player, plus satellite radio.

I paid total what just 2 flying trips would cost, and now its all "free".

I've been installing mobile electronics since 1980 as a hobby and try to keep up to date with the latest info out there..

if anybody has questions about this stuff, please dont hesitate to ask.

Hi, rec'd a fun tv in bag as gift for our 1st drive to fla. Worked great! Can monitor be mounted in headrest of my 03 jeep GCL?

Thats a pretty big headrest.

how many viewers? ages? sometimes one overhead will do the trick, like some vehicles come factory.
however, screen quality is IMPORTANT! My volvo came stock with headrest monitors. The player and remote, etc are neat, but the LCD quailty is reminiscent of the first projection TVs- almost no viewing angle. when the boys sit in the rear, their eyes are well below the level of the headrest, and the screens look half blacked-out!
so, you do get what you pay for in LCD viewing angle (thats why I went Alpine and never went back- extremely wide viewing angle)

our 5 and 8 year-old boys fightr over whats on the tv at home , so putting in 1 screen and one source (dvd, vcr, etc) wasnt an option. thast would create MORE problems.


so again, how many viewers? ages? sometimes one overhead will do the trick, like some vehicles come factory.
