Mobile Ordering

Hi all...

Has anyone done the mobile ordering for certain QS restaurants and can explain to me how it works? I can't seem to find it on the MDE app (though that may be because its too soon for me to order yet?).

You know you're getting old when you are stumped by an app...

Tried it for the first time last night at Satu'li Canteen at Pandora. We were waiting in line for the river boat ride, so with 80 minutes of time on my hands, I decided to give the mobile ordering a try since we planned on eating after the ride. Ordering on the app was super easy, but I was afraid if I completed the purchase, I would have paid for food that would be sitting there waiting for me to pick up. I placed my order immediately after I got off the ride and what I learned was there's a button that says something like "I'm here, begin processing my order." When we got to the restaurant, I followed the signs to the mobile ordering pickup window and lo and behold, there was my order waiting for me! It was pretty slick! The only downsides were I had trouble changing the credit card linked to the app (I didn't want to use the particular card I had on file, and each time I tried to change it, I would get an error, so I ended up just using the card on file), but I think that was a one-time fluke. The other downside was the rest of my group opted not to try mobile ordering, so since I got my food so quick and they had to wait in line to order theirs, I ended up waiting a good while waiting for them to catch up.

In the app, if you click on your account avatar (mine is Donald Duck), you should see under the My Plans section a button that reads "order food." Pretty nifty!!!

It was seriously really good! I had the sustainable fish bowl and was able to special order through the app (black bean sauce on the side, with a quinoa and vegetable base). It was really good, but after trying my friend's slow-roasted sliced grilled beef, I wish I had gotten that instead- it was delicious!!! AND the blueberry mousse dessert is also really good!

On a side note, I like seeing QS restaurants that have actual plates and real silverware too! They also have Sprite Zero, which seems to be next to impossible to find at QS locations, so I was very happy with this restaurant!

Do you have the latest version of the app installed on your phone? I am not going until late September and I can see and access the mobile ordering part of the app already.

There are only a handful of restaurants that currently do mobile ordering. You go on the app and go to the restaurant you want to order from. There will be an option to "Order Food" and just go from there. I also tried it a Satu'li Canteen and it was great. My meal was ready within 2 minutes of placing the order - and I was the only one doing it then so I didn't have to wait at all. And I agree - the food here was amazing. I got the Beef Bowl with Quinoa and Vegetable Salad. So fresh and tasty! And the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I cannot wait to go back!

Thank you all - I've managed to find the "order food" link with your help... but that told me that you can't order online with the dining plan, which I didn't realise! At least I know for when they change that rule!

Also, my understanding is that you have to pay with a credit card through the app, and you can't use discounts through the app.
