We have 1 MDE account with 4 reservations on it (extended family trip together). We are all on the DDP in separate rooms. Is there a way to do mobile ordering and choosing what reservation/room to pull the credits from? We're all under the same MDE account and this was an issue when we preordered for BOG - they couldn't differentiate the credits, so we had to reorder, each room separately and I'm wondering if the mobile ordering system is set up the same way or if you can choose what room/reservation the credits come out of???

TIA!

Almost certainly no. The person ordering will only be able to pull from their room.

Even if it's under the same MDE account? I guess what I'm asking is, how will they know who's ordering if we have 4 rooms under the same MDE account/same login etc. I'd love it if there was a way to choose the room to take it out of etc., but not sure how it actually works.

Every MDE account maps to an individual (whatever the primary name was), and that person only maps to one of the room reservations. They can see/add the other reservations because you can share plans with “friends”. The MDE account is actually one person, with their room reservation and the room reservations for three other friends/families.

Given this, while I don’t have direct DDP with mobile ordering experience, I would expect it to default to the dining plan for the primary user, as that is their MDE account. I have never known Disney to be able to ring up multiple plans in one transaction (separate bills for each “room” at the same meal), so I would not expect mobile ordering to magically add a feature.

TLDR: MDE is tied to an individual, even if it has all the reservation numbers for additional people - so it isn’t “one MDE for four rooms” as you put it.

Hmmm....good to know, so I have another question. The other ppl./rooms on my account do not have a MDE account. If the open a MDE account, would they be able to link their already existing reservation to it, so they could utilize mobile ordering?

If they did this, would anything change in terms of what I could do in my account with their reservation? Can I still make fastpasses, modify the reservation etc?

TIA!

They absolutely can make their accounts and link it. There are permissions to allow you to still make fast passes and such. I think the easiest way is for you to go to their names in your account and "invite" them to create an MDE account (basically you give Disney their email and Disney emails them a link to create an MDE). I haven't done this in a while, but I think at least on the app you go to "my account" then friends and family and it should show their names. If you click on them it says "managed by me" and has a button to invite to connect. Then you just have to have them tweak friend settings if needed to allow you to make plans for them.
