Mobile Menus not offering full menu?

Ive noticed many things not on the menu at The Mara like the BBq Ribs and the pepperoni flatbread. Are we not getting the full menu when mobile ordering than ordering in person?

Same menu as far as I know, some things are just off the menu at this time. Neither of them show up here either. Limited staffing and other factors go into all of this. Though getting better staffing, supply chain limitations and other factors all weight into these changes.

Unless things have changed, the mobile ordering and the live menu are the same. They were when we were there in April.
I can't think of any reason they would intentionally be different. Especially when they want you using mobile order.

Why do they want guests to use mobile ordering? Does it save on staffing? $$$$

The menus have been condensed all through WDW since the reopening. One explanation I heard that made sense to me was that with a smaller menu the kitchens could operate more efficiently with less staff, so the CMs could be socially distant from one another. I'm guessing supply problems with ingredients is another factor. Hopefully now that staffing is ramping up, menus will start growing again soon.

Saves on staffing and also helps with crowd control. During Covid they didn't want people cramming indoors to order and wait for food.

Also helps them control the tables.

Now you aren't allowed in until your app displays that your order is ready (unless you have to order in person for allergy or other limited reasons) - so there aren't groups taking up tables NOT eating while others are searching for a table as their food gets cold.

It certainly saved on staffing.
What I really liked, was you couldn't enter the restaurant until you were notified that your food was ready. This meant you didn't have people going in and saving seats while the person ordering for them was in the back of the line and those with food were searching for a seat. It became much easier to find a seat and the seats turned over in a much more orderly fashion.

We saw this at Thanksgiving for an Xmas item at Contempo Cafe. I had to talk to a CM to get the gingerbread house.

On Allears.net the menu for the Mara has the ribs and the pepperoni flatbread, and says last updated june of 2021, so i thought that mobile might be different

I would say that the menu on allears.net is incorrect. We stayed at AKL the last weekend of May, and the menu inside the Mara matched the online menu.

Thank you! I'm going to be there in december hoping menus across disney will be back to normal by then

Crowd control mostly. The only people allowed in the restaurants are those who have food ready for them. I actually love it as a solo traveler. No more walking around with my food getting cold looking for a place to sit.
