We'll be there during 3 MNSSHP events. My kids are 2 & 5. Do you think its something we should do? I just don't know that my kids will be able to handle being up until midnight (should we stay till the end). I also don't know if I want to go thru the trouble of buying and packing costumes before we go.

What would you do?

We did it for thr first last yr and LOVED IT. DS was 18 mos and we stayed only until 9. DH is very frugal and not really into Halloween so did not really want to go since we could only stay for a few hrs. He now insists we do it every yr and gets so excited!:goodvibes

We went last year with our 2 girls who were 2 & 5 at the time. They LOVED it. We went to the MK park on the day of the party and left at about 3:00. We went back to the hotel for a quick rest and went back at 6:30 for the party. Instead of a "costume" my girls wore skeleton PJ's that we got at Gymboree. They were long sleeve Glow in the Dark PJ's. My kids were comfy all night.
They didn't nap that day and had no problem staying up until midnight. There were harly any lines for the rides and they ate so much candy that it gave them a little boost of energy. We ate at a counter service restaurant in Frontierland while we waited for the parade to start.
I would highly recommend the party. We are going back this year and going again. Don't forget to do the dance parties with the characters. It is a lot of character interaction. They were dancing with the mice from Cinderella and doing the limbo.
Have a great time!

I just got back from Disney about 2 weeks ago. We attended the Pirates and Princess party and loved it. The firework show and the parade was amazing. If i was going back to Disney I would not hesitate to go to the Halloween or any of the other special event. It is worth it. My 6 year old loved it, she fell asleep around 11 and my 4 year old was out by 10-10:30. He missed the Mickey Dream along show. If i had to do it all over again i would have slept in and just relaxed at the hotel instead of going to the magic kingdom in the morning.

It is our first time at MNSSHP, we have tix for 10/4! :goodvibes Our dds are 6, 4 and 19 months. We plan on sleeping in and going to the Bibbidi Boppidi salon for hair and makeup for the older 2, we are bringing costumes for all 3. Do you have any suggestions for a first timer?

Thanks!!

We love MNSSHP. We have been three time. Well worth it in our book.

First, I would recommend that you make reservations for 4ish at one of the restaurants in MK. That way you do not have to leave the park.

Second, we would usually take the kids for a nap early that day.

Third, only stay as long as your DCs can make it. Don't force it.

Four, Enjoy.

I hope that helps. We usually make it until 9-10pm. We have three DCs, 8,5, and 20 months.

Take care.
