MNSSHP questions

I am planning to buy tickets for the first night of MNSSHP. I do have a couple questions about it since we have never done it before.

1. What is the earliest you can get into MK with just a party ticket?

2. What would be some must-dos for the party? I will be with my DD, who is 7. Are there any rides that are better doing during the party? Is the trick or treating worth it?

#1 We got in at 4pm.
#2 The parade, the fireworks/projection show on the castle, and the character dance parties were my kids favorites.

The trick or treating is definitely worth it. My kids left the park with way more candy then they normal get in our neighborhood. The party was the only time we were able to ride 7DMT. It was after 10 and the wait time said 45 minutes but it was closer to 30.

1. Last year they began letting folks in at 4pm

2. During the first parade we went on Pooh, Peter Pan, IASWorld, Tea Cups and Dumbo. Short line for all ( Sept 22)
We watched the fireworks and saw the 2nd parade.

3. A little trick or treat was fun for us ( all adults ) This is something we can't do at home.

We got Alice's autograph did Buzz and Space Mountain. and Went to Haunted Man. Where it started pouring rain.

The only thing that was on our list we didn't get to do was get our picture with a Hitch hiking ghost. We were planning on going back again but missed out on Free Dining (so we are not going in protest of the way WDW handled the situation. I fell asleep on hold so we will never know if there were any rooms we were interested in or not. )

See the Cadaver Dan's show if you can it is funny and very unique. They were in Frontier before the parade.

You might want to check again. I was recently able to get the free dining dates/resort I wanted this morning after them being unavailable since the promotion began.

Does anyone know how crowded the first parties are? We are looking to go the first week of the parties next year.
