MNSSHP parade and fireworks if unwilling to wait?

We will be at the Halloween party but do not intend to spend any time whatsoever waiting to see the parade or fireworks. However, we might be willing to watch the fireworks and at least part of the parade if it could be done with literally no waiting.

Where are the best spots in the park to see the fireworks where there is no need to hold a spot? I realize some of the effects will be missed, but I'm looking for the best view of the places that will have basically nobody else there. Same question for the parade: is there a spot where the parade will pass and nobody will be there so we can just walk right up and watch?

We will be at the Tuesday, Oct. 6 party, so I doubt it will be a sellout.

I don't think there's any such thing as a spot where there won't be anyone else around.

We have had luck walking up to the MNSSHP route shortly before the parade starts in Frontierland, but you'll be a few rows back. We've also walked onto Main Street just a few minutes before the fireworks started with success. I've never understood staking a spot out early for fireworks when it's relatively easy to get a spot right before they start. If you don't mind not being on Main Street, you can watch the fireworks from Frontierland with very few people around. We like standing on the wooden walkway along the pond.

Is the music for the fireworks played in Frontierland?

Also if you can go to the second parade, it's usually less crowded, especially during the earlier parties. We did that last year in Frontierland just walked up a few minutes before the parade started and go a seat no problem. Plus once it ended we didn't have to fight the main street traffic. I would try to see the fireworks from the front of the castle, main street area. It's pretty great.

Please don't be like other people and barge into someone else's view. Seen it too many times where last minute spot lurkers block other kids views. Block me all you want, but not to the kids.

As a PP stated, the second parade is less crowded usually.
But just be aware that if it's a night where it rains before or during the first one, then don't plan on people leaving and having a non-crowded 2nd parade.

Frontierland is usually a good spot, also right in front of the train station on Main Street isn't terribly crowded some times. As the other posters have said, the second parade is less crowded. I will say, if you're paying the money to go to the party...the parade is, in my opinion, one of the best parades that Disney does. I had been on the fence about Disney last year and we went to our first MNSSHP and the parade totally made my wife and I fall in love with Disney all over again. Truly they put some of the best cast members out for this event so if you have any time at all I encourage you to catch the parade, it is well worth it.

**Keep in mind these are my personal opinions and I'm sure others will have their own.
