MNSSHP or relax at the resort?

We’ll have 1 WDW resort night after after a 4-night Halloween cruise. Which would you choose and why?

1) OKW 1-bedroom, relax at the resort
2) AKV 1-bedroom, relax at the resort
3) VGF deluxe studio, chill at resort for a bit, then MNSSHP

Family of four. Kiddos aged 11 and 14. We’ve never done MNSSHP. We’re DVC owners.

I may be crazy but if I just did a HALLOWEEN cruise, I would finish that vacation off with MNSSHP! Your kids are old enough to hang in and enjoy all the fun. What a great vacation to remember!!

I find myself agreeing with @HopperFan. Scares my wallet given the price of Oct MNSSHP tickets but if it’s in the budget it sounds like it would be a pretty amazing way to cap off a Halloween cruise.

We've done this in the past! It was such a great time and one of our best trips to WDW. Did a 7-nt Halloween cruise, and when we got off the ship, surprised our kids with a 7-nt stay at WDW and did MNSSHP on Halloween night. Best vacation ever and best photos of our family!

I would 100% do it--kids seem a perfect age for this!

You can rest after you get back home. This may be the last year kids this age will even care about Disney at Halloween. They will want to go to Universal for Horror Nights.

Yes VGF will be close for after the MNSSHP party but any of the others will be just fine for a quick 1 night stay.

If it’s in the budget, a party is a great way to do a single day at Disney. As @Dave006 said, you don’t have to stay VGF just because you do the party. The crowd at the end of the night isn’t nearly as bad as a regular closing, and buses aren’t so bad. Plus there are always Minnie vans.

No. There are sometimes Minnie Vans. Availability can be tough when it gets late.

Honestly I’d keep the VGF studio vs the 1 bedroom elsewhere for the night. Every minute counts after you leave the party and just want a bed.

Thanks. That’s what I was thinking. While the extra space of a one bedroom would be nice, since we’re only really going to sleep there if we do the party, being close to MK is more important than the space.

My bday gift last year was a so.o trip to WDW to go to the Halloween party. I loved it so much, I went twice. Loved everything about it. Don’t miss the pirate band on the Jack Sparrow stage. I was at AKL and had no trouble finding Ubers when I closed the park down.

If you aren’t in a hurry the next morning, the advantage of a leisurely morning at AKL is the best breakfast on property at Boma, and visiting the savanna’s to see the animals.

Are there any bedrooms available at Wilderness? Also a solid option.

We want 3 sleeping surfaces, so we would have to waitlist Wilderness Boulder ridge studio. And since it doesn’t have the split bathroom, I’m leaning towards VGF. We do like the food and animals at AKV, so it’s tempting, but VGF being so close to MK is hard to beat

Option 3. Keep the spooky vibes going.

Go to the party? It is FUN! As someone else mentioned, you have to see the parade and fireworks if nothing else. MK at night is fun in itself, but with Halloween vibes it is even better! DD and I are headed back this year for the 3rd time (if I can get the time off)!
