So, we will be there the last week of October, and I'm obsessing about our costumes for MNSSHP. I've checked numerous weather sites and know the average highs/lows, but as those are just averages, I'd like tips from those who have actually been there. My son really wants the Miles costume from The Disney Store, but it looks hot. TIA!

Weather Underground has a fantastic historical weather finder. You can look up dates going back years to get an idea of what the weather was like in previous years. I would say it's going to be warm, but what does that mean? For instance yesterday I was in 93 degree temperatures which I thought was slightly warm but my fiance thought was sweltering. Of course, I grew up in Southeast Oklahoma whereas she grew up in Denver.

It's hot. Yeah, you might have a night that's a fluke, but for the most part, it's hot. My kids wore padded costumes to their first MNSSHP and were miserable. They had to strip down after a few hours. Lately we've been doing DIY costumes (Mickey and Friends) or costume T-shirts. Actual Halloween costumes are just too heavy for that climate.

We have done MNSSHP several times in the past few years. I remember it being pretty hot. Even after the sun went down.

Hi, I live here about 80 miles west of WDW and we go often. End of Oct is still hot. Yes, we can start to cool down by then but it's still usually in the 80's and most Octobers, I keep my AC on. The weather doesn't really start to break to "cool" until mid November. Night's will be more comfortable of course but you should anticipate 80's. Usually kids here do not wear heavy costumes. On the bright side, you probably won't need a jacket. ;-)

It's really hard to say...back in 2012 when I went the last week of Oct, I packed for hot weather and it was FREEZING!! I actually had to buy sweatpants and gloves for nights because I was shivering just walking around. This time I'm packing layers because I don't want to be caught shivering my timbers again!

My kids love their costumes and they insisted on wearing them to their last party but as their mom, I knew they were going to be overheating so I just put them in shorts and tees underneath and sure enough, they were out of their costumes within two hours.
I love the idea of costume tees instead of full outfits. Maybe check Pinterest for some lightweight breathable costumes
