All I can say is WOW!!
First off, thanks to this board we were able to get SO much done but there was still stuff we missed. Next time we go during Halloween, we will do parties as just being able to get on rides quickly is worth the cost of admission. So on with my review....
Took the morning off, had a late breakfast at Pepper Market at 10:45am and then went to the pool for a few hours. DD4 slept until 10am that morning so I knew there was no way I was going to nap her as I planned. She rested watching some TV from 2:30-3:30pm. At the bus stop by 3:40pm, dd already dressed as Minnie, DH and I are not dressed yet. Walked right up to will call and gave them my drivers license (did not have my confirmation # on me) and was given my tickets immeidately - probably took 7min total. I highly recommend will call - there was a man next to me yelling that he shouldn't have to pay again for tickets yada yada... well, here he left them at home. Not sure what became of it because we were on our way into the pary
There were plenty of people heading in with us at 4:08pm but no lines at all by the gates. They were giving out bags and maps as you enter. The maps are everywhere though and bags are at every candy stop. We made our way right to LTT for our 4:30pm ressie. We checked in at 4:20pm and were seated at 4:30pm. Dinner was very good but it was so hot out still and I think we were all so excited, we didn't eat that much. Many servers/waitstaff had make-up scary faces. Very cool. All the characters were in their costumes and there was a ceramic pumpkin on every table. Totally getting us in the mood!!! Character interaction was excellent, we saw Goofy, Minnie, Chip and Dale 2 times and were only there about 70min. We saw many fun costumes in the waiting area too. Having an early ressie worked out very well for us. We left at 5:45pm and headed to Pirates - we went on the ride (no line) and DH bought a sombraro and blanket - cut a hole in it and was "Pancho" for halloween. I had light up minnie ears, red polka dot ribbon in my white sneakers and black shorts and a minnie t shirt. DD had her short sleave minnie dress on with white keds with red polka dot ribbon as laces and minnie stickers on them. She received many compliments on them. They were very comfy for her and she wasn't hot all night. I pulled her sides/bangs up in a poneytail and attached the ears to it so they didn't fall and hair wasn't in her face. Worked well.
Okay - so now it is 6pm and we have an hour before the party starts. Went on Carpets, no line. Then went to HM, no line. Now it is 6:25pm and we start towards Fantasyland but they were not letting anyone thru. We went back to shop a little and then dd wanted to do HM again - walked on again and when we came out at 6:40pm we noticed no one was by Fantasyland and people were walking thru. We did as well and walked on Peter Pan, IASM, and Carousel. By then it was a little after 7pm and things officially opened again. Walked on Pooh and then came out to Pooh's playground and Pooh and Tigger were there. Walked right up for pics, got some candy and dd played for 5-10min the the playground. We then walked on the teacups and got right on.
Next, we walked right to Toontown and there was only 3 people in line for facepaining right by Pete's garage. DH got a moustache to add to his "Poncho" costume and DD and I got the minnie faces. Very cute and they do them so so quick. We literally waited in line for 4min and were out in less then 10min, all of us. We then went on Barnstormer as again, no line. Came off and saw Donald by his boat with TorT areas to collect some candy. Donald spent lots of time with my dd and tried to take her candy. She loved it. We got some great pics and then went to Mickey's house and met him out in the garden. We went to Minnie's house but she wasn't there.
Found out later she was in the big tent with princesses. We never went in there but we met her at LTT so it wasn't that big of a deal. Next we saw little Einsteins at the Toontown train and then went on the Treat Party trail to Tomorrowland. We met Alice, Mad Hatter (dd is scared of him though) and then Mr Walrus, Rabbit, and Queen of Hearts. All the candy stops had "cards" giving out the candy - very cool. We were having a blast. My sis met up with us and said Main Street was very cool as she came in at 7pm. I opted not to go there until later since we were going to the 2nd parade.
We then did Tomorrowland, walked on Buzz 2x and then went to Raceway and waited about 7min before sitting in a car. There were many more places to torT and our bags were getting full
By this time it was about 8:30pm and we went on buzz AGAIN and then made our way towards the Noodle Station. We took drink/bathroom breaks and set up a table to watch the fireworks. Kids ate a few pieces of candy too and relaxed. The fireworks started promptly at 9:15pm and all I can say is WOW and WOW!! They were awesome - so so cool. We had a blast with many families that sat around us.
After that it was almost 9:45 so we went right to the Ice-cream shop at Main Street and got front row seats to the parade. It seemed so empty - not sure how the first parade was but by 10pm it wasn't even 2 people deep in this area. The CM's were having a blast and getting people in the mood. Singing M I C K E Y M O U S E and giving out candy. The kids were having so much fun and so was I
Well the parade started and I was so impressed. It was the best parade I have ever seen at MK next to Main Street Electrical Parade. It was SO SO much fun. The Haunted House floats and "ghosts" were the best. They received cheers that I have never heard in the middle of a parade before. The hyenas from Lion King were a HUGE hit for DD - she was so excited to see them but yelled at them to leave Simba alone when they came by.
So the parade was over and we could have left totally satisfied but dd4 and nephew 3, high on sugar and fun had other plans. We ended up doing Pirates again, do the Jungle candy trek, met Tarzan and Jane as well as Rafiki. DD also met Aladdin for the first time with Jasmine and they also talked a lot with her. She was in lala land at this point as she LOVES Aladdin. We then TorT more until our bags were about to burst. We went on Pirates 2x in a row and then headed towards HM for our last ride. Well, going past the Diamond, I noticed Woody inside and made a quick zip in there. There was only 2 other kids in there and she played with Woody and Bullseye for about 5min. Woody then left and Jessie came out (dd never met her before) so again she was in lala land. They talked a lot. My DH said "how is Woody treatin you?" and she shook her head no. The CM with her said Jessie now has a crush on Buzz and Jessie shook her head yes and "giggled" DH laughed saying - "hey when is that Toy Story 3 coming out?" She came over to him and put up 2 fingers, then 2 zeros and then 8 fingers. 2008 - I don't want to wait that long!!!
Anyway - we played in there and then headed to HM at 11:45pm for our last ride. It said 20min but we walked right on again. Very fun as most people in there were SO in the mood like us, screaming and laughing and clapping. We walked out of there and DH got dd on the carousel one more time at midnight exactly. We slowly walked around the castle and down mainstreet and took lots of picks. I will post them soon. We headed out to the bus stop and pretty much walked onto our bus at 12:25am. DD was fast asleep in my arms as the bus pulled away. We had SO much fun - I can't encourage you all enough to go. It is so worth the cost of admission, if you get there early especially.
We were unable to make either dance party or the villian meet and greet by the castle. Sis said there were random "ghosts" near the castle scaring people and "floating around." She said it was very cool. We noticed a ghost" walking the grounds up in the HM but of course as soon as I got the camera out, she was gone.
Oh and dd slept until 10:20am the next morning so we also planned a pretty light day the next day as well.
