Okay, this is going to sound weird, but...we don't really get into Halloween very much, but we are thinking of going to MNSSHP. We like the 'lighter' side...dressing up, trick or treating, costumes and fall-type atmosphere, but we really don't like the spooky side (5 kids ages 6-15). Do you think there is enough of the 'not-so-creepy' stuff to still make the event fun? I hope I'm making sense :earboy2:

Most everything about the party is fun, and as the name indicates, "Not So Scary"! There is (or was when we were there) the Headless Horseman who rides down MS at the beginning of the parade (very fast, hard to see, but awesome), some witches (characters from the movies), but all else is just fun! Just trick-or-treating with the good candy (like going to the "rich" neighborhood!), lots of fun costumes (we went in our MNSSHP t-shirts and my DD had her face painted earlier that day at AK), and lots of characters! Very fun! Not scary! I HIGHLY recommend it! We liked it so much, we went 2 nights while we were there.

Other then the headless horseman I don't think much else could be classified as scarey...

MNSSHP is so much fun! They do storytelling, the villians from the movies are out, the have a special villian parade (which starts with the headless horseman as mentioned above), you get to trick or treat and go on rides with NO wait! The costumes are fun to look at, most people just have fun with it. If you have ever seen things from the OTHER theme park's halloween events, WDW's is the opposite. Very cute, kid-friendly and lots of fun!

This is definetly one party for your family then. It is all the things you said you liked about Halloween. If you have the opportuity then I would go.

We loved it so much we're going again!! DD 10, DS 7, DS 2...at the time...We'll definitely go twice this time!

We had ps's at LTT and the characters were in costume...so cute!!! I do remember the the CM's were in haunted house type make up...everything was fun and happy, though!

We went this past year and our DD was 15 and our DS was 6. They loved it!! I really liked the parade - it was fun seeing all the characters dressed up. Pooh and Friends were too cute!!
