MNSSHP Costume Question

My daughter (almost 7) wants to be Rapunzel for MNSSHP. I went ahead and purchased her costume off eBay thinking it might be cheaper now than in September, anyway... it's short sleeved and mid calf length. Her hair is just past her shoulders and we were going to put it up in a braid with a few flowers and probably let her wear flip flops or other simple sandals. I started thinking maybe this will be too hot for her or too cumbersome and possibly we should plan a back up. Thoughts?

When are you visiting? September might still be hot at night, and even possibly early October. Our last two visits have been late October and the weather gets cooler when the sun goes down. Although as long as it isn't very thick, being that it's a short-sleeved dress it may still be okay in the hotter part of the fall.

9/29-10/4. It's more than one layer, a beautiful dress, really. Maybe I'll tuck an extra shirt in my bag, just in case (I planned for her to wear short underneath anyways).

Thanks!

It definitely wouldn't hurt to bring a backup just in case it is too hot!

We did MNSHP at the very beginning of October and we layered thin layers underneath their costumes. It def got cooler about an hour after the sun set. DD (then 5) was Tiana and DS (then 18 months) was a frog. The Tiana costume was thin and short with a cap sleeve so I bought a pair of white footless tights to wear with it and brought a white long sleeved shirt to put under it. My son had a long sleeve green shirt on and a pair of shorts. Both kids wore flip flops. Worked out perfectly. :)

I'd definitely plan on having something to change into. Store bought costumes tend to get very hot and uncomfortable after awhile. The weather can be so unpredictable at the time of the year (sure it'll be warm but will it be obnoxiously hot? humid? rainy? breezy and tolerable? NO ONE KNOWS FOR SURE!!!! :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:)
