Hi all,
this is our very first time going during MNSSHP......we (I really) want to wear something but do not want to go full on costume, looking more for shirt ideas....
can anyone please suggest some ideas?
stores or links to look at?
thank you
We leave in October and I want to start looking and ordering now, thanks again
TIA
Danielle

Have you heard of Disney Bounding? Basically putting together an outfit that's evokes a character using more everyday style clothes so it doesn't look or feel as costumey. You can find lots of examples on pinterest or doing a google image search.

The Disney store online has lots of Halloween gear out now; although you might be able to find cheaper else where.

I can't recommend anyone specific but if you type "Disney Halloween shirt" into the etsy search bar it pulls up a lot of cute things.

yes i heard of Disney bounding, I don't know if we can pull it off, lol but i will try your search on etsy, thanks again for the ideas!

I follow glitter ever after on etsy, they have some amazing stuff and just came out with a halloween collection.

If you don't mind being crafty you can make some items yourself and just wear with regular clothing to finish. I made my Belle costume from a yellow skirt and tank. I used some yellow tulle and ribbon to make a gather around the neckline. It was so easy as I used glue for the ribbon bands and then just had to sew those to the neckline. I even took the two ends and met them in the front to make a rosette so I could just sew that down in a few stitches. Super easy and comfy. It took me less than 30 minutes to do while watching tv one night. As an adult I had a hard time finding a cheap skirt in a princess color but for a little girl it should be amazingly easy as their clothes are typically offered in pastels.

My husband and I wore Batman and Robin t-shirts one year. We got them on Amazon. Each T-shirt had a cape that velcro-ed on with little tabs on the shoulder.

My kids love costumes. We aren't costume people.

Maybe Beauty and the Beast? Princess and the Frog? Mickey and Minnie?

Well, I'm glad you posted that etsy shop because I just went there to check it out and see she's using my Mickey Sugar Skull design, that I made years ago, without permission.

oh nooooooo, hope you contacted her

I did. But seeing as how she's a huge etsy seller and I'm just one person who made some fan art and stupidly shared it on the internet, there's probably jack I can do about it, unless I can shame her into taking it down. But someone who would steal art and use it to sell shirts is probably not someone who can be shamed into doing the right thing.

Can you tell etsy? I'm sorry!!

No worries! Etsy makes it very difficult to report unless you want to hire a lawyer. Plus, technically, even though the sugar skull aspect is my design, the Mickey head belongs to Disney. It's really Disney that would have to make this an issue, not me. It's unfortunate, but that's life. I shouldn't have posted a high resolution image of my art on the internet.
