MNSSHP and Parade ?

Where is the best spot to sit during the parade at the MNSSHP? Also, any tips on the party itself? This will be our first time. Thanks.

We are going to MNSSHP for the first time next week, so can't really give you any advice. There is a very large thread with information on the party in the Theme Park/Trip Planning forum, but nothing here in the DVC section. Here's the link:

We just got back and have done this twice for that party - we learned after the first time. We watch the fireworks in front of the castle and then move up in between the castle show stage and the street so we have prime viewing for both. I am thinking the times were approx. 930 firworks - 1005 halloween mix and mingle castle show - 1030 parade. Have fun - it is definitely one of our favorite events!!!!

We went to the MNSSHP on Spt 18th - this was our second time and the first we were late getting a spot for the parade - we could not see very much...so this time we went about 8pm and sat in front of the Hall of Presidents- the parade starts in Frontierland. We had a perfect spot and really LOVED the parade. DD3 is fearful of the pirates, witches well all of the villians...so she hid in her stroller but DD6 had a blast!!! For our girls trick or treating was fun - but after doing about half of the stops they wanted to do the dance parties and the character meet and greets - DD3 fell asleep so she and I headed back but DD6 and DH partied until 11pm!!! In adventureland there was a character spot where Aladdin had Abu with him!!!!! In our 8 trips to WDW we have NEVER seen Abu!!!!!

Have fun and if you find something you like stay and do it...just like the rest of WDW there is so much to do and not enough time!!!
