MNSSHP and MVMCP

We have not been to either event, but thanks to our new DVC membership we will be staying at times when both events happen.

A couple quick questions -

What time does MNSSHP start? The day we were thinking of attending is the same day our DD will have her mega-planning session with the folks at DFTW. Does the party start in the evening, after like 5 pm?

I think I read somewhere that the MVMCP is a must do, but if you stay over Christmas its silly to buy the tickets because the parade becomes the VMC parade over Christmas anyway, and all you miss is the hot chocolate and cookies. Did I read that right?

both parties officially begin at 7pm and end at midnight. Although, you can enter the park a little earlier. What I have read is the same as you describe. Most, if not all, of the events during the MVMCP can be seen during regular park hours the week of christmas.
