I know it seems early to think about this but next October we will actually be at Disney on Halloween. I have been to the party on earlier dates, but would like some feedback from those who were at the party for the 2013 Halloween night. How bad was the crowds, would you go again on the 31st or go another night? Was there some place else you think is better?

Crowds at a sold-out MNSSHP (one of which is always Halloween night itself) are significantly less than most normal days at MK, though since the crowds are concentrated on Halloween activities it can seem more crowded in certain areas of the park. Since you've been to MNSSHPs before, expect longer waits than you're used to for all the Halloween-related activities.

I was there, October 31, 2013, sold-out MNSSHP. I did not find it that crowded. The first parade was a little tough (I am tall and standing in the back is fine for me), but the second was much easier. I had a GREAT spot for Celebrate the Magic/Hallowished toward the back of the Hub, and Nobody was standing around me. Ride lines were non-existant for the most part, and I rode everything I wanted, multiple times, including Haunted Mansion. The magic shots at the front of HM were minimal waits as well.

Now, I did not do character meets. It seemed like there was a decent line for the Dwarves and possible others. I ddidn't have much interest in that. Overall though, it was a great time (if a tad HOT) and I hope to go again for Halloween this year.

We also went on Halloween in 2013 and didn't find it to be overly crowded, as some suggest. We did line up an hour or so early for the dwarves and waited maybe 10 mins for them to come out. The only other characters we did were Mickey (talking Mickey, it was really neat!) and Lotso, both had no wait at all. Actually, we met Buzz also and there was a wait of about 10 mins.

We stood on the rail of the Tomorrowland Terrace for wishes (where they have the dessert party), and the view was awesome! We snagged that spot maybe 20 mins before the fireworks. We didn't attempt the first parade but got a good spot for the 2nd right on main st about 30 mins before...maybe less.

we only did the peoplemover so I can't comment on rides. Trick or treat lines looked long but moved very fast - we got tons of candy.

We love the Halloween party and will be doing it again this year!
