MN discount (does it look like a discount to you?)

It's called, "Have you ever seen a dream come true. Summer getaway" from the Star Tribune. The dates were for june 11-18th. They quoted me $2467.44 with 7 day hopper plus for DXL. I don't see the savings. Am I missing something?

How many in your group and what ages? 7 day hoppers (no discount) are $325.44/adults and $261.84 for kids ages 3-9. June is regular season, and DxL ranges from $149-$169/night. So 7 nights at $149 is $1043 ($1157.73 with 11% room tax) That leaves you $1309.71 for hoppers. 4 adult hoppers (no discount) adds up to $1301.76--so that still leaves $7.95. Are they offering any other perks? You're absolutely right--this is no bargain--unless they are throwing in the airfare. Even so, rooms do get discounted during the summer, if you are flexible with your time and resort, you can save money there. The other thing to consider is the break even point for a regular annual pass is 8 days. You don't get the "plus" features (water parks, Pleasure Island) but you can get AP discounts on rooms (when available) and that can save you money too. This does make me wonder where the big savings are for this offer!
