Is there anyone here who's gotten on/off the ride, both via the "regular" queue and also via the pull-out car? Last time I went, I used the pull-out car, and I found that when we returned, I had the HARDEST time getting out of the vehicle back to "regular ground" A nice gentleman (who unfortunately didn't speak English helped me (practically lifted me) out, but I have never had nearly that amount of trouble on any other ride. Is the regular queue better?

DH has knee issues, but we never did the pull out car. He didn't have an issue getting in or out of the ride vehicles once they ditched the plexiglass. He did have trouble with the plexiglass there though.

For him, it is his right knee that is the issue, so he found turning around and facing the back of the car to get out helped though as I recall.

That being said, I believe they also have a transfer device available, not sure if it would help or not.

MMRR could have been made much easier for everyone to get in and out if they didn't have that high raised platform. It's a shame they went with that instead of an entrance that's level with the floor of the vehicle.

The transfer device gives you small step like spaces to sit on as you go up and down. The steps are pretty small and there aren't good places to grab onto. But it might help you since you can use your legs to help push up. I can't walk/stand at all and used the pull-out spot with the transfer device. It wasn't too hard getting in but getting myself back out was terrible. It was so hard on me that I doubt I'll ever ride it again.

Thanks. It's also the right knee for me that's the bigger issue. Nest time I'll try the regular queue and try that method of going backwards.

I have to use my cane to lever me out of almost every ride to give me a tripod of stability. Thankfully, castmembers are patient. I love the idea of going backwards out of MMRR--I will have to try that next time. I don't know why I didn't think of it since I go backwards down the stairs at home.

Just to clarify, he still goes out sideways, he is just facing the back of the car when doing so rather than the front of the car, but whatever method works for you.

I honestly don't understand why they couldn't have made an opening similar to what BTMRR has where once opened there would be no or a very small step down/up.

I use my arms to brace myself on either side of the opening and push up moving sideways up and onto the platform. Not the most elegant… and I’m slow, too. But thankfully CMs are patient!
