The cakes were a complete waste, unfortunately. I found them dry and tasteless and not even worth eating. That was a disappointment.

I had the same dessert in September, and agree that the cakes were unnecessary.

By the way, I have the Menu (flatbreads, sushi, first course, main course, and featured wines/sake) and Dessert Menu from California Grill (at least from January) that includes their Ports, Madeira and Dessert Wines as well as the Cordials, Single Malts, Brandies, and Cognacs. Did you know that you can get a 1 ounce pour of Remy Martin Louis XIII Cognac for $135?

I don't think I would ever splurge on Cognac but a 2 ounce pour of Charbay Black Walnut Liquer ($32) might be worth a try sometime as might a 3 ounce pour of 1964 Broadbent Boal Madeira ($53).

Did you use the dining plan? If so, do you remember what the dining plan included at California Grill?

You are so welcome! Which beer did you like the best?

I'm sorry, I never replied to this! I think the Spaten Optimator & the Spaten Oktoberfest were my favorites. I think I might opt for a beer flight again on our next trip. I'm not sure I could finish those huge mugs of beer. The flight was much more my speed and it was fun to have a taste of everything.
