MMB survey with VERY good questions. Did you get one?

I got the survey but mine had a possible renewal price of $119.

There is, they asked what would make the 119 price point worth it and I responded better dining discounts and Id pay significantly more to have TiW back. After I wrote that is when they asked how I would feel about better dining discounts, lounge access and etc.

I got the survey too and was happy to share my thoughts. Love the idea of the owners locker since we have one now and love it. Interestingly I did not get the question on the price increase other than asking if I was happy with the value at the current price.

The airport lounge could be great, assuming it’s free access and you don’t need to pay any extra money for it. If you had to pay for the access then it’s not worth it, there are services online which provide a cheaper access than priority pass.

From the top of my head if they added:
A discount for LightningLanes
1 free LightningLane per day when you have a resort reservation, I would say for all parties on the reservation but that would be pushing it.
Priority queue for MoonLight magic reservations
Discount for Dining plans
Priority for dining reservations
Discount on a premiere pass
No discount, but if you buy a premiere pass, it works for all parks that day.

I don’t tend to get these due to my DD being in marketing…but I would love some day if I did!

Enhancements are always nice but my top ones would be using points to pay for it, discount on quick service, including the mug, owner’s locket and of course, more discounts on shopping!

So, basically this is DVD fishing for ideas for cheap stuff they can do to satiate us into being okay with the cost of MMB ever-increasing.

I guess that most of us assumed that it would increase anyway, so at least adding some little things might help a little...

Exchange points for Magic Key like you can a Sorcerers Pass. Don't care

Complementary Beverages at resorts. Nice, but not worth a whole lot

Characters at the DLR lounge like they have at Epcot. Don't care

Aulani priority access booking for experiences. If this means stuff like Aunties and cabana booking, then definitely YES, but if this means priority for Aulani's rip-off excursions, then NO

Pay for your MMB renewal 10 points. Meh

Access to Airport lounges. Meh

Owners Locker. Meh

MMB area at DVC events. Nice, but not worth paying extra for

Discount on Travel Insurance. No way

Food and Beverage Discount. If in addition to what we alreay get

Complimentary beverage on DCL. This would be nice

Complimentary Popcorn on DCL. Meh

Fully understanding that OTUP work for many of you…

To me the big problem with MMB is that for higher point owners who don’t need OTUP, there is zero value. I suppose the points for AP may be useful for some, but paying $99 (or $109 or $119) just to get to the lounge faster is still a non-starter for us.

Now, add more discounts, perhaps include mugs, or fast passes and it may become worth looking at.

So, those who love the OTUP benefits, myself included, is there anything that would make it worth it if they were gone? What if they instead offered something like you could buy 10% of your point total in OTUP? Or 10% of your direct points in OTUP?

Me, I just love the points and the others are just like a coupon I may or may not use.

The biggest benefit for us is the points for AP. We also replaced adding the memory maker to our AP in 2025 so it was a wash.

Now, we did add that back, but I still have memory maker that I can transfer to someone else!

OTU points is a big plus and I bought in 2025 when I had not before.

We bought MMB for the AP. We found the OTUP perk useful. I know many have purchased the OTUP to use for the AP so I guess that's a good idea, especially if they're paid with a discounted GC. Paying the MMB with 10 points would be the same as last years AP because we'd be renewing. As for the rest of the list, we wouldn't any of them, as doubtful the beverage is beer/wine.

I like the OTUP and I found out the Memory Maker didn't expire at the end of the year, it stays on MDE and we can use it on a future trip!

I wouldn't consider myself an owner with a limited amount of points considering I'm in the 800+ point range. I'm not like a 4000 point whale but I'm not scrounging for points either lol. I do it strictly because the BOGO OTU points cost less than using my own points. I value 24 of my own direct points more than 339 dollars (the cost of MMB and BOGO OTU points combined). It comes down to 14.125 per point before getting the perks of MMB like the priority for lounges and etc. The perks are just gravy.
