Sunny Morning, Happy Pony!! Of course I have to work til 9pm, but its all good, hopefully it will be this nice tomorrow too!

Kathy - wish I could answer your questions on the d-ribose...I think Nell figured out which one to order, so hopefully she can help! Maybe this warmer nice day will make you feel better...have you tried exercise to see if that would help the soreness? I know that sounds totally ridiculous, but I know if I overdo a day at the gym and am so sore I can hardly move the next day, as soon as I get up and move around and "stretch it out", I feel alot better...even though what I WANT to do is crawl back in the bed!!

Hi Melanie - glad you checked in, we start to worry when anyone goes AWOL for too long!! Hope your mom is well too, and tell her we said hello! Good luck with the football dinner, and be sure to take along something you can eat too!!

Robin, I have been stretching it out. I sit on the floor and reach my arms to the end of my feet. I then pull my leg up toward my chest. It helps a little. I will be putting moist heat to it later for sure. Just wish I could figure out why now? It is almost like it's really stiff. Heaven only knows what I did :( But I still go up and down stairs even with it hurting this bad. I have to. Our bathrooms are on the second floor or the basement. So I either have to spend the day in bed or in the messy basement :scared1: People have disappeared down there!:eek: I even make Tyson go down with me when I do laundry LOL. :lmao:
 
Jocelyn: I do go to Bowen for my fibro-related symptoms. I used to get muscle spasms very easily and at unpredictable times – like just stretching in bed. It hardly ever happens any more, but when it does, he can fix me in one visit. I get really sleepy and really thirsty – I like to go in the late day when I don’t have to do anything else. The next day, I feel a bit like I’ve exercised maybe too much and the day after that, good as gold. This last muscle spasm I got from too much time on the phone leaning without my headset. I know, silly not to wear it all the time. I have it plugged in now permanently. I’ll find out what was wrong with the guy in the wheelchair. I’m quite sure it will help you, as I have not known anyone it hasn’t done wonders for. I’ve referred dozens of people. One of the most dramatic was a police officer friend of mine that couldn’t stand up to go to work. He has 7 children to support! Now, his wife even goes if she gets a crook in her neck or anything.

Mine is $33.00 for the same size you got. See if you have a Bowen therapist anywhere near you. I pay $60 for an hour which treats your whole body and I only have to go when I hurt myself, which is every few months now. When I was getting cramps in my calves, it turned out to be my hamstring that was tweaked.

You are so funny! Isn't it great to have a dog to follow you into scary situations? Mine will babysit me while I take a bath or shower so I don't have any Psycho moments.

Thanks Lisa. Just wanted to be sure I was reading the labels right. I am going to ask my friend if she happens to do the Bowen therapy. She keeps going back to school to learn new things to add to her "specialty." I will be calling her. The last deep massage I got did hurt, but it was a good hurt. If that makes sense at all LOL. When she was done, it was like my whole body let out a great big huge sigh. She only charged me $40 for a whole body hour massage.
Tyson follows me everywhere. I have to laugh. When I go into the bathroom, he looks like, "I hope she comes out this way!" Guess he doesn't realize I have to go out the same door I came in LOL. He loves laying in the kitchen while I cook. But he lays right beside the stove in my way. But he always gets to "taste test" whatever I'm making. He's not spoiled at all :lmao:

Kathy: Bowen is a specialty. Some massage therapists have learned it. They have to go to a special school. You don't mix the two, though, massage can reduce the maximum effectiveness of Bowen so you don't do both near the same time. I'm sure the massage will help you feel better.
 
I have been so mad at myself about that jam that I couldn't bring myself to even open it, but we used it on 12 carb toast today - just a teaspoon or so and it was so delicious! I can see how it could really come in handy in the Greek yogurt, which I will go looking for soon.

Tom wants spaghetti squash again for dinner which is great because I have an open house and a client meeting after that. Busy day! Pray for my clients to be open-minded. On second thought, pray for another buyer to come to my open house with a full price offer!
 
Settled in at work, and ready for another boring day...phones are very quiet which is never a good sign...guess people are starting to think holiday shopping and figure they can just drive another couple months with no insurance! :scared1: Seriously though, y'all better make sure you have uninsured motorist coverage on your policies, cuz there are TONS of folks out there driving uninsured these days!! I know they say that recession is ending, but its going to take folks a long time to recover financially...

Kathy - thats good that you are stretching it out, certainly cant hurt!! Too funny that you take Tyson to the basement with you! I LOVE my new basement....made sure it had walk out door to the back yard and windows too! I HATE a scary dark basement!! I know, I know, your Chief of Police is afraid of the basement!!:rotfl: The worst calls I used to get in the middle of the night were ones that required that trip to the basement...I was more afraid of the spider possibilities than the burglars!! :lmao:

Nell - I know you will have a good time with your company today...meeting new people can be a challenge, but since you know some of them already and Marti knows them Im sure it will go just fine!! You can never have too many friends, and who knows, you may really like them!! Remember the lady with the table...and how nice she turned out to be!

Lisa, Nell convinced me to buy some plain yogurt this weekend, so Im thinking stirring in some 4g jelly/jam would be just the thing I need to make it edible!! Also the sugar free vanilla syrup I found should help. I just hate the idea of all the aspartame in the flavored ones...even though they fit the 11-20 rule.

Barb's company should be leaving this weekend so she should hopefully be back here soon! We MISS you Barb!!

Thanks Pony I will try your advice. I will even put some thing by the bed so that when I get up to go to the bathroom or let the dogs out I will eat it. Today I tried this
530- cheese and crackers
930- broc cheese omlet (hubby loves to make me these on the weekend)
130- chicken and cheese on ww roll (100 cal 14carbs) with lettuce and lite mayo, cottege cheese.
we are going out to dinner tonight so I will probably have salad with broiled fish and veggie. I will bring some crackers in case they do not have ww pasta.
and then a snack with a 11-20 carb (probably and apple with cheese) my favorite now
then I will snack during the night.
and see how it goes..maybe that is why my blood tested 145 this morning...:sad2:
 
Thanks Lisa. I will be checking into it for sure. I am going to be ordering my vitamins from vitacost for sure. I was pricing them at the store, and it's about twice the amount!!

We had company. It was pretty cool. No one bit me. :rotfl: I'm so neurotic!

I am definitely getting smaller again. Size 26 is no longer tight, and size 24's go on. My pants are up to 99 cents on ebay! Woo hoo! :woohoo: Hey, they may go for 99 cents, but that 99 cents more than I had before! Besides, I have another pair I can list soon. Actually, I just need a picture and I can list them. I'm very tired again. I really need a down day.

Well, I ran to the store. Actually, I rode to the store. Laura may run to the store, or Cindy. I still need to ride there. :lmao: Ok, getting off track here. I bought some new Step two foods to try. Apples, peas, and mini popcorn bags. Save a lot didn't have plain yogurt. I'm actually getting ready to pull out my yogurt maker and start making my own again. The fresh yogurt has tons more beneficial bacteria than the ones that have been in refrigeration a long time. It's easy to make, you just put in a little of the plain store yogurt, add milk, and plug the machine in for a few hours. Tada! Fresh yogurt! And I eat it before it's spent more than two days in the fridge.

Ok Ladies! Someone start talking here. I'm missing you! :grouphug:
 
Hi Nell - I was wondering where everyone is too! I am so bored here at work!! glad you had a good day and your company didnt bite!! LOL, I wish I had the time to make fresh yogurt...Im sure it is WAY better than store bought! I have to bring a covered dish to a potluck here at work next week...cant think of a THING to bring that I will be able to eat...got any ideas?

Have been really concentrating on starting Step 2 in a couple weeks.
Wow isn't this a different lifestyle. I am really nervous about adding
carbs back in. And I know everyone else here feels the same. That
is the good part about this. (support) which we have to have. Thanks
everyone for posting, such big encouragement for my husband and I.

Hello Ladies - what a busy day! I had to get up early...not happy about that. My daughter had a doctor's appt. this a.m. and then had to go to the pharmacy to get her prescription. Got home and started cleaning. Of course I had my breakfast and coffee. Can I tell you I'm so glad for the day break on exercising. My muscles are so sore....in a good way. We cleaned out the garage and brought 8 bags to the Salvation Army. Yippee. And to top it off we brought back $12 in soda cans to the grocery store.

I'm WHOOOOOPPPPPEDDDD! I've missed everyone!!! :lovestruc

Robin - How about bringing Chicken Marsala to the covered dish? If you get the thin slice cutlets it will give more bang for your buck.

I spent the day with my sister and one of her granddaughters. We went to Barnes & Noble - all the Christmas books and gift items are out. I could spend a fortune! I didn't buy anything...holding out 'til I get that darn job!

Nell - Your tree looks so wonderful & you look great!!

Lisa - You said you had cramps in your calves? Was it after walking awhile or while you were still? I get cramps in my right calf after walking. I need to rub it and rest for a minute before I can continue to walk. So to go around the track requires a stop every once around. My dr. sent me to a vascular surgeon. He did a sonogram of both legs and everything was fine. An orthopedist that I had to go to for a personal injury case I have (I was hit by a car in 2006) said it may be from a tear in the muscle that healed but is still a weak point. Did the Bowen therapist diagnose for you? How do I find a qualified therapist?

Diane: The cramps were from crazy things like stepping down a step or pulling on a pair of pants. It happened 6 times in 6 weeks and kept me from exercising. I was 'too busy' to go for therapy and each week thought surely I was over it and then - bang! it would happen again. My Bowen therapist figured out it was coming from way up my hamstring. I never had another problem once I finally got my tail over there! They have to go through classes and take tests, etc to be qualified and licensed.
