MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

Just wanted to stop in and confess....I've fallen, off the wagon, that is and I haven't gotten up yet! I know, I know, I was doing so well. I don't know what happened. I drifted off plan Friday night and I've been drifting ever since. I'm really upset with myself right now. Pray for my strength, please. I know this wol is working. I think I'm going to go back to step 1 for 10 days and then try step 2 again. One things for sure.....I have to plan my meals better. I'm a little depressed right now, but I'm going to get over it. I'm pulling my book out tomorrow to reread step 1. Glad to hear everyone's doing well. I was doing so well.......oh well talk to you guys tomorrow.

Good morning everyone! Once again, crashed on the couch before I got to say goodnight. Don't know why I'm feeling so sleepy the last few days :(
I think today may be a better day. Woke up and actually felt like I had slept!!

Stwill, just get right back on the wagon. I like you, think a repeat of step 1 for 10 days may help you out. Isn't it nice we can correct any "damage" to the L & P we may have done? I know you'll do great. It does take a little planning of meals, snacks and all. I know you'll do well. We will help you!!

Cindy, sorry you're feeling the "pains" of the workout. You're more woman than I am for sure!!

Well, have to take Carrie to school. Long day today, so I'll catch up towards evening.

Good Morning Ladies - Just checkin in. Was up 4x in the middle of the night with the little boys. One just couldn't settle down and the other had to pee. I'm telling you. When it rains...

Hope everyone is doing well. Stwill, you'll be okay! Just jump back on the horse!

My body is adjusting today, tonight is the shoulders and arms. I have no upper body strength so I know that it is working! My arms hurt so bad!

I'm meeting some friends for lunch today. Luckily it's at a diner and I can get a salad with grilled chicken.

Stwill - Its OK to fall off...might help to tell us what made you drift off on Friday night? Step one for 10 days will make it right again, then let us help you try to plan better for step 2. Lots of us have already had to repeat step 1, so we're getting pretty good at this thing! I know you can do it!!

Kath - sorry you feel so tired these days, no wonder you keep falling asleep on the couch!

Cindy - haha, rubber arms for you for a few days!! Its so great you are doing this though, you will feel awesome when you get used to it!!
 
OK, so heres a black bean soup recipe I found...let me know what you think
Its 37g carbs, minus 9g fiber per 1 cup, so maybe we could have like 1/2 - 2/3 cup for an 11-20?

saute chopped onion, yellow and red peppers and 4 italian sausages removed from the casing, in 2 tbsp butter and some olive oil...sprinkle 1 tsp garlic powder over. Add 4c chicken broth, 1/2 tsp cumin and 1 can drained, rinsed black beans...simmer covered 30 minutes then pulse in blender 10-15 seconds. Add another can black beans and another 1/2 tsp cumin and simmer 15-20 minutes more. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve with dollup of sour cream and if you like it spicy, some red pepper flakes!

Sounds really yummy to me...what do you guys think?

I am all about the soups for the winter!

Robin - Your recipe sounds yummy, but I think you might be able to have more than 1/2 cup of this. Everything but the beans are free. All you need to do is measure the total amount of beans in both cans before you add them (or mush them). Pretend they equal 2 cups. Then divide the soup into 4 servings (which would equal 1/2 cup of beans). That would be your serving size. Clear as mud? I think there might be uncounted carbs in the other veggies. Even without my convoluted method, 2/3 of a cup is legal.

I saw it sold on e-bay and couldn't seem to win the bid, so I called DisneyWorld and ordered one from merchandise services. It is back ordered until the end of November, first of December, but it is so cute! I used to carry designer bags, but haven't done that since the time the kids were little (who could afford them with diapers, formula, etc.) Recently, I have been carry Disney purses (with Mickey, etc.), well I found out there is a best of both worlds. Disney now has a WDW D&B bag, so I ordered it (DH told me to just buy it). If you want to see a pic, look up Disney Dooney on ebay. I am still winning a bid on there too, but I doubt I'll win it. (If I do, I'll just cancel my WDW order). Silly how excited I can be about a new Disney purse, but I am!:rotfl:

Talked with Ken, he is frustrated that things are not moving along as quickly as he hoped there, apparently the Chinese are extremely detailed and picky about EVERYTHING... but he says he was never worried about getting back here before, so he thinks maybe he is just over-anxious!! I told him not to worry, I am not going anywhere!! LOL

Good morning everyone! I missed my early morning feeding and guess what? I woke up at 10:30 and cannot handle anything. I'm overwhelmed at having to make coffee, taking the dogs out was traumatic, I can't think clearly. Wow. I had no idea how much Met B affects my emotional state. This is very interesting. I've been on medications for anxiety and such since my 20's. I'm beginning to wonder how much of it is met B? I do know I'm not missing another feeding, that's for sure!

I'm going to a guided meditation tonight! I think it's going to be very cool. It's a place that does alternative healing and there's just a small donation. I think I could really use some relaxation.

The Disney Dooney purse is gorgeous! I love it! Your going to have to get clothes to match when you stop shrinking!

Ok, I'm going to go back to eBay. I listed a pair of my fat jeans for auction and someone made a first bid! Yippie! I should go get the other pair that is falling off of me and list that too!:rotfl:

Stwill: Is it Sandra, I can’t remember, sorry! You couldn’t have done too much harm in such a short time, so 10 days on Step 1 should put you to rights again. Try very hard not to be depressed about it, because if you are anything like most of the rest of us, emotions can lead you into destructive eating. Dust yourself off and come here for as much support as you need. We are all with you!:grouphug:

Robin: I, too, thought you might be able to have a larger portion of that soup. It sounds so good! The one I buy from Trader Joe’s is only 8 carbs per cup so we put a lo carb tortilla with it usually. I got another one that looks good – split pea – haven’t tried it yet.

So sorry Ken’s work is frustrating. It’s wonderful he’s in such demand in this day and time, though, huh?

Beverly: I think rewards are so important and you go, girl. Work that purse!:woohoo:

Wednesdays are my early days at the office and then we go out on tour so I didn’t have time to stop in this am. I hope everyone is having a great and productive day. Now, I have to go look for a house for a first-time buyer. Cya tonight!

Cindy: Hats off to you for the extreme workout! I hope it gets easier for you today! I've got another silly muscle spasm in my shoulder, so have to go to the body therapy guy this afternoon. I go to a Bowen therapist. I wish I could work out harder, but slow and steady is making inroads for me, at least. I finally got a compliment at work today and several people said they liked my outift, which I know means I look better, but they haven't figured that out yet, lol!
