MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

Hey, Robin. Did you decorate? Are you in the kitchen right now baking those cupcakes for your godson?

Thank you for the zap Laura! I'm going to stay off of the scale!

My Thanksgiving this year is going to have a whole lot of Christmas overtones. :) That's why I'm so on the ball with the Holiday theme. Because my parents are coming for thanksgiving, I'm going to be completely decorated for the holidays the first week of November. Well, maybe not outdoor decorations! :lmao: People will think I'm a nut! I am, but why advertise it? :rotfl:

I am still pretty tired, but am hoping that leaves soon. I slept again all afternoon and when I got up I had dinner ready for me! It was so nice. I had to add an applesauce. My next feeding is at 1:45am. I feel like a newborn needing a bottle, lol. Which is perhaps an apt comparison considering we've all opened a new chapter of wellness!

Nell - did you get your table yet? I think you should decorate the outside of your house! Did you ever see that show Roseanne? The one with Roseanne Barr? I remember that she used to love to decorate and have the tackiest house on the block. My sister and I used to tease each other that we were trying to outdo Roseanne! My kids loved it!

Oh Kate, I get crazy! Yep, tacky could be a good way of describing it! We left Christmoose (our 8 foot inflatable) in Maine though. I did pick up snowman heads at a yard sale. Each one has a light and a stake to go along the house.

Speaking of tacky, I thought for a while of having an in the ground house while we lived in Maine. Up there the potato barns are built and then covered with dirt sloping to a thin layer on the top. It makes a big hill that's actually a covered barn. It keeps the potatoes at a constant temperature. For a while I wanted to do the same but make it into a little house with a wood stove right in the center for heat. And the front that is exposed with the door in a neat gnome house kind of decor. I even planned red pointy hats for visits to the mail box! :lmao::lmao::lmao: I think I'm a ten year old in a grown up body. :flower3:

Oh yea! Got the table! I love the table! I could sit at it all day! It works perfect in the kitchen, makes the house feel like a home and I love that it has a leaf to put in when we have company. The chairs are super comfy too!

Oh! I wish I had a Christmoose! Anything 8 foot inflatable would be awesome! The snowman heads sound like a good start!

I think the in the ground house sounds really cool! Red pointy hats and boots with bells! Being a 10 year old in a grown up body can't be a bad thing!

I just know that everyone is going to love it at Thanksgiving!

One of the things that I love about Thanksgiving is that there is a real feeling of oneness - not just with family but with everyone. We spend so much time worrying about getting by, getting healthy, dealing with illnesses, etc. We forget about gratitude and love for others. I like that on Thanksgiving, so many of us take the time to be grateful. Having everyone being grateful at the same time just gives me the warm and fuzzies. When I have to drive somewhere on Thanksgiving, I often look at other people driving and think that they must be happy because they are driving to be with family and/or friends. I am getty sappy.....

Sappy is good Kate! I generally feel that there is so much more goodness in the world starting around this time of year right through Christmas. Charity takes off, people give thought to helping others, and taking account of their lives. Most areas of the world have a holiday in December that has to do with self reflection and being closer to the creator. I think all of that works together to bring us to a new level of good in the world during that time.

Hi Guys, that is if anyone is still up! Looks like just Nell and Kate still here?

Well heck, looks like I have been abandoned for the evening! No body home here, Ken is in his jetlag stupor in china, and even my dog is snoozing away already!

Hope y'all had great evenings and we need to have a toast to Tom tomorrow!! :love1::drinking1

I just figured out I cant restart step 2 til Monday, since I have to go shopping first on Sunday...I know I know, any excuse to stay on step 1!:rotfl:

Nite Pony, Love you too!

Nite everyone! Love to all of you too! :grouphug:

Ok, eating my oatmeal and going to bed!

Glad to know everyone is tucked into bed!! It's early here still....

Thanks to all who have me as a friend on Facebook. I now have to figure out how to use it:lmao: I signed up for Diane's info. Our cousin's daughter even works for Facebook - but have not gotten involved.

Halloween in Waikiki is wild. We used to walk along and look at everyone but haven't the last few years.

Children trick or treat at the stores at Ala Moana Shopping center. There are so many apartments here that Trick or Treating is not an option for people who live in those areas. I really don't know how many people go to the residentianl areas but it must be a lot considering the amount of bags of candy people were buying at Costco today!!

Tom - Best Wishes for many, many happy years together with your new bride.:bride:

We just watched our weekly Friday Night Fireworks. I never tire of them!:)

Love to ALL:love:

Ask them if they inject their cows with growth hormones. They do it to get more milk and it stays in the milk and humans drink it. Bad news. I was so good about getting everything like that organic and then we went low fat and I haven't looked to see if I can get reduced fat, organic cheese, but I am going to right away. We don't drink cows milk so it's the cheese I need to figure out.

I will ask them for sure. I had heard about the that for sure. It up in Amish country, so I really doubt it. I think it's an Amish store if I remember right. I remember a while back someone telling me or hearing about the hormones they are giving all the animals we eat, drink milk, etc. It's pretty bad when they resort things like that. :(
I think it's a good idea you check you milk out too. I have found just because it's labeled organic, doesn't mean it's really that good. Wish I had my own farm with cows, chickens, pigs, everything I'd need so I knew it wasn't "tampered" with.

Good morning everyone. Up bright and early here today. I thought I would sleep in, but my body told me no. It woke up at my usual time :(
My aches and pains aren't too bad this morning. I don't know what was going on with the knee yesterday. I could barely get up and down the stairs. Not a good thing at work yesterday as that house has a lot of steps I have to use. But all is good today.
We are going to Mike's youngest daughter's football game today around 1. It is to be cool and rainy :(
Mike had bought me a really nice trench coat a few years ago, and he sprays it with water repellent for me every year just to make sure I don't get wet. He is so sweet.
Got a good deal yesterday. Our local tractor supply had steel toed boots on sale for $30. Normal price was $90. We know when Mike finally gets a job, it will be one where he needs good water resistant and steel toed boots. So he got them. There were really nice Timberland tennis shoes on clearance cheap too, but not in my size. Need to get some comfy shoes soon.
Tom, if you happen to stop in, CONGRATS!! Can't wait to meet your bride. She sounds so nice!! Enjoy your honeymoon, and don't forget about your "other" girls
Lisa, when I got the D-Ribose, it didn't have a little scoop thing. The directions said 2 teaspoons a day. The book said to use 1 scoop (5 grams) 3 times a day. Do you happen to know how many teaspoons are in a scoop, or how many grams in a teaspoon?
Ok, off to do some house work. Slacked off last night since I was so tired.
Catch up with you all later.

I tried to wait up for you but I was just too tired. I thought you might be burning cupcakes in the kitchen?

Can you believe that Nell had a 8 foot inflatable Chrismoose? Isn't that just amaziing? I wish we had a Chrismoose smiley!
