MM Warriors Part Deux (As of October 27)

Nell: so happy for you and your new table/chairs :cheer2:

Kater: that is so sad about your client.. my prayers go out to her:angel:

Barb: yes, hopefully we can remember there is so much to remember!

My DD is going to be a princess: she is 2 and my DS isn't sure he is even going he is 8 :sad1::sad1: he wants to grow up so quickly:wizard:

I am off for yet another ultrasound for the lump I found approximately 4 months ago. I had the initial dr. appt., mammogram and ultrasound, this is my 2nd follow up ultrasound. I can still feel it which has me slightly concerned since they thought it was a hematoma. I can't imagine that I bruised something in there so badly that it is still there 4+ months later. Keep my right b**b in your thoughts.:rotfl: (Or at least your prayers.)

Well, I am not sure what else there is? Whining when we have a problem and gloating about our successes. To me, that about sums it all up! :lmao:

Isn't that the truth!!

I know I wrote about a loss of a freindship that I think was over my husband's and my weight loss since June. I now will not say ANYTHING to anyone here unless they bring up the subject and then I don't say much.

Here is the link to the recipes:

Maybe it could be put at the beginning of each new thread? It was really far down on the list!! Guess we are not posting enough recipes!!

I posted the recipes for the nuts and Carol's macaroons. I know, not everyone loves coconut, but there are a few of us:lmao::lmao:

Oh Beverly,

You are in all our prayers.:love:

Beverly, your **** is in my thoughts and you are in my prayers

Ok... that's it! I am going to get that sink shined today if it's the last thing I do!::yes::

Malzer, you looked like you were having a ball playing with the smiley's last night! :)

Beverly, thank you! Your absolutely right! I had no problem planting those bulbs! I had to dig deep too because some of them where as big as a small cantaloupe. I don't know why I didn't think of that but I truly have a lot to be grateful for! Diane just got back from vacation and I'm sure she had hundreds of emails. It's possible it was accidentally deleted Bev.

Pony that's mighty funny about the flax in the cupcakes!:lmao:

Kate, I put it on our recipe thread. I had to subscribe to the thread in order to be able to find it. Here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2310630 If you have any recipes add them! That's great that your having so many for Thanksgiving and especially that your not stressing about it. It sounds like you enjoy the company too, like I do. I'm not one of those people who has the tense family get together's you see so often on TV. When we were in Puerto Rico that's what Thanksgiving was like. It was awful. I called them the Indigestion Dinners.

Kate, that is so terrible about your client and her almost ex husband. I hope they both find their way through this.:sad2:

Cindy, if it's not an embarrassing thing for you, our local Salvation Army has hundreds of very cool second hand Halloween costumes. I think it's neat that people are recycling.:smickey:

Ok... End of the first list of responses! I've got two more pages to catch up on! Talk to you in a bit!:wave2:

I am so sorry I keep messing it up Joycelyn! Please email me directly with your info one more time. I have to make another new list as I've got some more people who would like to be added. It's not deliberate that I keep missing you! I love you!

Lisa, are you able to do the excel list, or do you want me to do it? All I'm doing is stuffing envelopes today, I know you have a crazy schedule. Let me know. If you are doing it then I can add the additional names I have when your done. Hope your having a good day. I've got to go catch up on what I missed so far now! :goodvibes

I can do it, but probably not today, Nell, but I will!

P.S. My inbox contained the best gift from Cindy - she already did the spreadsheet for us! She has a repair man, a sick child, a headache and yet she gives of herself to us all! I bet her sink is shiny, too!

Nell - that's a great idea. I'll ask them this afternoon if they want to take a ride over there. I just can't justify spending good money on something they will wear one time and never do anything with it again. And it gets lost in their black hole of a bedroom.:scared1:

Bev - will be praying for your "oobiebay" (pig latin!) Seriously though, really do hope everything will be ok, I DO know that some hematomas take awhile to go down...

Okay so ever since the coconut post earlier I've had this stuck in my head:
:rockband:
"Put the lime in the coke you nut and drink it all up. Put the lime in he coke you nut and call me in the morning. Say DOCTOR." Come on ladies you know the tune!!!:rockband:

Pony: Thanks for the update on Tom and his bride! :bride: I love San Antonio; what a fun place to honeymoon. We’ll look forward to meeting Rebecca. You were so funny about the mirrors at the gym.:lmao:

Jocelyn: Are you putting the chili recipe on the recipe thread? I want to make that for sure. Thanks for the fish instructions, too. We went up Hwy 49 to Downieville and instead of coming back the same way, we continued on to Hwy 89 and then to Truckee and back down 80. Now, I want to go to Colorado this time of year and see the entire forests of aspens! They could make me cry; they are so breathtaking. I am so sorry you lost a friend over weight loss and I know you already know she wasn’t much of a friend, evidently. How sad people can be so shallow and jealous.

Kate: Your Halloween pics and descriptions are so cute and creative! Love it! Isn’t it fun having friends of a certain age that remember the lines from the Newhart show and Seinfeld, etc.????:happytv:

Carol: Thanks for the macaroon recipe! Love my coconut! I make cranberry macaroons at Christmas and I even got egg substitute so I could make a special batch for the vegans. Kate, email me if you want the recipe. They’re not very hard to do and you shape them like little pyramids (Christmas trees).

Beverly: I wouldn’t think Diane would be offended if you resent your question. Can you retrieve it from your sent emails?

Nell: You made me laugh about the Indigestion Dinners! ;)

One year my son was Wolverine with the whole nine yards – entire head covering. Kind of early that evening I opened the door to Wolverine and said “Well, you’re back early. Where’s your Dadddy?” He pointed across the street and I said, “Well come in and show me what you got!” Just about then I looked down and didn’t recognize the tennis shoes, which was the only thing showing from under the costume! I had the wrong kid and was trying to kidnap him, LOL!
:rotfl2:

Lisa, the new coach lights look really classy! It does make a difference. Could you wrap the tree in a big sheet before you drag it through the door area?

Craigslist is a great way to recycle! As a country we have so many pounds of waste we are shipping it to other countries so they can landfill it. That's really bad! The thing to be careful of is a rather new problem that has resurfaced in the U.S. that a lot of people are not aware of. A lot of places have become infested with bed bugs. They had been eradicated in this country until recently, and because ddt is illegal, they can't be killed by anything but high heat. It's the only insecticide they have found that works on them. Anything secondhand from a hotel is a really bad idea. Even the high end hotels have had outbreaks.

Pony, why is it that all gyms are made of mirrors! I hate that! The last thing I want to see is reality while I'm struggling to work one of those machines!

Barb, your right about remembering to count our blessings. It could always be a lot worse. Thank you for the reminder!

Beverly, I will keep you in my prayers. It's so frightening when something happens like that. We're all here with you and hopefully it turns out to heal quickly.

Does anyone else have a hard time finding coconut in the baking Aisle that isn't sweetened? Carol thanks so much for the recipe! I think that is definitely going to be one I try!

Jocelyn, do you feel unsafe sharing here? I hope not.

Cindy, I love the lime in the Coconut song!!!
:banana::banana::banana:

Ok, I'm doing step two today, and I know I'm doing it all screwed up. :sad2: I am concentrating so hard on spacing the carbs that I've completely forgotten to make any vegetables. Now, four hours and 7 minutes have gone by since my first 11-20 carb meal and I'm starving! :crazy2: I'm cooking now.

I have an issue. I don't eat breakfast lunch and dinner. I've never had kids and I eat when I'm hungry. So I'm not sure how to work that out unless I start eating normal meals, which is going to be really difficult because I'm super overwhelmed with this and being hungry. I set an alarm clock for 4 1/2 hours since my last meal. It's due to go off in 15 minutes.

I had 6 triscuts with the apricot high fiber all fruit and a Nathan's hot dog for breakfast. Yes, I know it's a weird breakfast. I can't do a good food shopping until next week.

My next meal in a few minutes is going to be a fried egg sandwich on a 5 carb wrap with a half cup of applesauce. To be on the safe side I'm going to add some benefiber in the applesauce just to have a little extra fiber.

Ok, thank you for listening to me freak out. When I eat and am no longer hungry, I'm going to make a pot of broccoli soup. I need to get some vegetables in also.

Hang in there! I remember the first few days of step2 were really mind consuming and I was really hungy too! I don't think that's a weird breakfast, I can't eat too many eggs so I have weird stuff all the time. Meatloaf sandwich anyone? :)

Thank you Barb! I'm full now. I'm scared of the cravings coming back. I set the alarm for 4 1/2 hours from now and I'm making broccoli soup. I imagine I can have a cup of broccoli soup for a snack in between if I get hungry again.

I think I'm getting a headache? That didn't happen to anyone else when starting step two did it? Could be a coincidence. I'm going to go and lay down a while.

Nell: You're doing fine so far! Take a deep breath and enjoy the journey. You just need to get in the groove and then it will become second nature to keep an eye on the clock for your 'feedings', lol! I pretty much always have dinner more than 5 hours after lunch so I plan an 11-20 for the afternoon, like a pear or some crackers.
