Well, that was underwhelming. Maybe the idea of a 4-game sweep was a little optimistic.

Statistically....it was going to be a sweepWell, that was underwhelming. Maybe the idea of a 4-game sweep was a little optimistic.![]()
I wonder how many of the Fox announcers had their share of Timmies while in Toronto for the first two games… they have to get their Joe somewhereI'm getting quite a kick out of the American sports reporters who seem to have never been to Toronto before and a bowled over by the city and the skydome. One guy tweeted about how he had had his first Caesar and loved it. I never realized that they were just a Canadian thing. I've seen jokes about Canadians in the US ordering a round of Caesars and getting a tableful of salads, but I never got the joke before.
It was still in progress at 12:50 am, MST, when we were finally put out of our misery in the bottom of the 18th.Just so you know… this game is still in progress…
Longest playoff game in history.…yeah the misery was over for the Dodgers. Not shocked my professor in my first class cancelled, I bet 9/10 she stayed up for what was essentially a doubleheader. It was still in progress at 12:50 am, MST, when we were finally put out of our misery in the bottom of the 18th.Longest playoff game in history.

I wonder how many people in Los Angeles are playing hooky today…God Bless the LA faithful. In any other regular season game, this is my worst fear: a tied game that goes on and on. BUT, if it's MY team and I'm at that WS game, I'm there for every inning, no matter!
My sister sent me a text with "an excuse form" to be filed in your employee record of why you are not present today. TOO FUNNY!! We both are die hard CUB fans but we also really, really love baseball. I gave up when Shohei hit his HR in the 7th. My sister stayed up and watched the entire game.I wonder how many people in Los Angeles are playing hooky today…
I understand, am Phillies fan.Haven't kept up since my cubbies lost.
Jays win!!!
