MK Wishes Dessert Party - Plaza Garden View

We will be in Disney next week with my dad who will be in a wheelchair. I was looking to book the Wishes DP. The only one available is the Plaza Garden View. It states you get your desserts at Tomorrowland Terrace and then you get escorted over to the Plaza Garden. I was just wondering if anyone on these boards has done this. My concern is how long will we have to get and eat the desserts, can we bring them over to the Plaza Garden area to eat some of them and how difficult is it to make it over from Tomorrowland Terrace to the Plaza Garden.

I believe that at Plaza Garden there are not chairs or tables. This is fine for my DH and I and my dad will be in the wheelchair so seating for him will be fine.

I just wanted to get some views of people that have done this.

Thanks, Linda

We have done both dessert parties, and this is our favorite one. You will check in about an hour before the fireworks and get your arm bands. This dessert party is up by the bathrooms by the Tomorrow land Terrace. There are tables and chairs there, and you pick your own table. If you tell them your dad is in a wheelchair before hand, they will have an accessible table for you. The desserts are buffet style, so you eat there. I don't think they allow you to do any carry outs. After dessert, you will go down to the plaza area (formally the FP+ area) to watch Wishes. Your dad can take his wheelchair into the area, and you just show your arm bands to get in.

How is the view of fireworks & projections from a wheelchair in that area? The MK fireworks & castle projections have been awful experiences since I've not been able to stand anymore. I'm only able to see people's backs and butts.

The view was wonderful. I was on an ECV and my family members sat on the ground.

I saw the final night of Wishes with the Plaza Garden dessert party. The park was jammed with people trying the see Wishes one last time. The dessert party was full but there was still plenty of room to spread out in the viewing area. I stayed in my power chair against the back fence and my family stood or were seated to the side of me, also in the back row. Everyone in front of us stayed seated on the ground during the fireworks. Immediately after the fireworks, some people left and the cast members stopped guarding the entrances to the viewing area. But we stayed and watched the castle projection show with an excellent view. A few people came into the area to see it, but everyone sat on the grass or stood in the back.
