MK to POFQ and back to the California Grill

We have an adr at 9:10 pm on Sunday 11/15. We are planning on doing MK that day, which will close early at 7:00 pm. Would we have time to take the bus back to POFQ to change and make it back to California Grill? How much time would you guys plan on if we need to leave a little earlier?

I think you'll have plenty of time. There's always that roulette of did a bus just leave or are you walking to the stop as one arrives. But I think you'll be fine.

On our trip last week, we had left for a little rest at POFQ and had dinner reservations at Whispering Canyon. We got to the bus stop at POFQ at 4:30, rode to MK, took the bus to WL and walked in the lobby there at 4:56!!! Two bus rides and a transfer in less than a half hour. Of course, we hit it just right!

Thanks. We were debating on whether to take a change of cloths or try to get back to and from the resort. I know that the dress policy says t-shirts are ok, but we may want to change for dinner.

Ok, so we found it took a long time to get back to POFQ from MK at closing. Long enough that we took a cab to CG once we got back and changed. I would leave by 6ish if you want to use the busses. Remember, if MK is closing early because of a ticketed event busses back there from your resort will be very crowded and may take longer. If MK is closed entirely, you'll have to take the boat or bus to DTD and the Contemporary bus from there. Uber or cab may be the way to go, if you plan on staying till close.

Thanks. MK is closing because of MVMCP that night. I guess transportation would get more crowded as 7:00 gets closer. We are planning on doing the Christmas party later on in the week, so we would not have a problem leaving earlier around 6:00. Other than it being our first park day and not wanting to leave the MK!!

Do you remember the cost and how long it took to get back to the Contemporary by cab?

This was several years ago, but gonna say about $15. Uber will probably run you about $10. Super easy, cheaper, prepaid & quick!
