MK strategy for thunderstorms?

We are going to MK tomorrow with forecasted thunderstorms. Are their particular rides we should hit first? We will be there at rope drop for emh and have fastpasses that begin at 10 for 7DMT, Peter Pan and ? We were going to do Btmrr and Space Mt before those. What closes in storms? What opens up first?

The rides that are outside are the ones that tend to close for thunderstorms. 7DMT, Splash, BTMRR. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Thunderstorms are generally pretty quick and may not even happen at all where you are at.

Power through the rain too. It sometimes helps to thin out the crowds. They really only stop the outdoor rides if there is lightning in the area. Bring ponchos and have fun!

Disney can be fun when it rains...as you can see from my profile picture! There really is a lot to do where you are covered. Just bring a poncho, a towel (in a zip lock bag), and try to accept the wet.

Like when avoiding the heat, there are times we come to learn the value of indoor attractions and queues.

Some attractions are of extended duration more than others (i.e., Monsters Laugh, Carousel of Progress, Philharmagic, Country Bear, Tiki Room) and some queues are well-covered (i.e., Buzz, Space Mountain, Peter Pan, Small World, Pirates).

Also, if the weather is bad all day, then I would likely try to avoid the Magic Kingdom the following day when everyone is trying to play 'catch-up' for having missed a day at MK....a day at MK in the rain can be important to some families...and loads of fun if you've planned to get wet.
