MK resort dilemma!!

We have stayed at WL and Poly. Have always wanted to stay CR, just haven't yet. Secretly, I want to wait until I'm given the go ahead to book tower MK view.

My dilemma is this: stay CR in the wing with DxDDP or stay Poly with regular DDP? We tend to spend a lot of time at CR eating, shopping, etc. The only thing I didn't so much like at Poly was having to walk outside to the main building. Well, we'd have to do that if we stay in the wing at CR. Or stay WL, save a few bucks and still get DxDDP??

I'm just looking for different viewpoints and opinions, please. :)

All I know is that we must stay at a MK resort because we love that area so much.

There are just two of us. I'm 28, he's 36. But we're total kids at heart!:goodvibes

If you have the chance to stay at the Contemporary no matter the room then you should go for it. As for walking to the South Garden Wing it's not far at all from the Tower, so it won't be like walking to a Longhouse at the Polynesian.

Personally, I would spend 2 nites at CR MK view. It is so so worth the money to just do one time. View is so breathtaking and there is nothing else that compares. Considering you stay around CR, shop and eat there...you should just spend 2 nights there then switch to a moderate. Or better yet, do moderate first then spend the last 2 nites at CR MK view

Stay the entire trip in the CR with the MK View... You can eat Food anywhere, but you can watch Wishes from your bedroom at any places but one (I dont count the not so great Theme Park views from the Poly or GF)... Go CR all the way (I am for 4 days in Late Oct at $320/night :)

We've done the math on the DDP and the DxDDP and figured that you'd have to make a killing at every restaurant in order to make the DxDDP worth it. I would go with the Poly and DDP. I've always found the theming in Poly to be fantastic whereas CR has always seemed a bit austere.

I would stay at either the Poly or WL, depending on how you're planning to use your credits :rolleyes1. If you were going to do alot of signature restaurants, I'd go with the WL/Dlx DDP; if you would only do 1TS meals, I'd go with the Poly/Basic DDP. The CR just doesn't do anything for me as far as the theming/ambiance of the resort, but if I ever did stay there, I'd definitely have to stay in the tower......that just seems more Disney to me with the monorail going through it and having Chef Mickey's right there ;). Good luck with your decision as it's never easy choosing a resort as they are all great :cutie:.

CR for me all the way, no matter where your room location is. We've been upgraded to the Tower with a view of the MK and it was to die for. Total Disney all the way - we didn't want to leave!! We've also stayed in the South Wing, ground floor, with a magical view of the ducks!! Can ya get any better than that?? I think not! The major plus for the CR in my opinion is you can walk to the MK, boat over to the WL, and mono over to Epcot. Lots of things to see and do because you're right in the thick of things. I also happen to be a CR-die-hard fan, but we're trying the AKL this year and I'm already having palpitations.

Since you said you like to eat at CR a lot, and most of the restaurants are TS(and I think CG is a signature), you should stay there in the wing and use the DxDDP. With the DxDDP, you can eat 3 TS a day and if you don't want to eat just at CR, then hop on the monorail or boat to other MK resorts for great TS choices!:thumbsup2

I would choose CR and convince your DH to left you stay in the MK tower view. If he doesnt say yes I would still say with CR since it sounds like you like the restraunts here and Deluxe Dining Plan sound to suit you well.

Thanks for all the feedback! I think I've narrowed WL right out of it. We were just there in April, and while we loved it...it'd be nice to try something different. Also, we will be back there in the next 2 years, as we'll be going with parts of his family who has always dreamed of staying there, so we're going to help make that happen for them.:wizard:

I'm leaning towards CR wing, DxDDP. We have 5 signatures that we want to dine at, and we're not much for CS really. A couple times a trip is fine, but we'd like to plan late breakfast/early lunch at a TS for the days that we are doing a 2TS dinner. This is why I think DxDDP will work for us. I'm not much of a number cruncher, but I have looked at menus and they certainly are not inexpensive! :scared1:

Of course, then DBF brings up BW, and how it'd be so handy to be so close to the ESPN club and Epcot (two of his faves). LOL...here I go to research BW!
