MK Rain Plan

We are going straight to MK when we arrive tomorrow, and there's a 60+% chance of thunderstorms from our arrival time until bedtime. Looking for recommendations of the best touring strategy in a storm. We are prepared to get wet. I know FL weather is totally unpredictable, but I like to be prepared for the worst.

If there is lightning all afternoon, our JC FP will convert to Anytime, we will have a usable PP FP, and our SDMT FP will convert to Anytime. Unfortunately, our SDMT is late (couldn't get anything earlier), and we will go back to hotel right after FP window for DD's bedtime. Is there any chance Guest Services would move a weather-related Anytime FP to a different day of our trip? (Hopefully storms will have passed by then, but possibly missing SDMT would be a big disappointment.)

Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Honestly, I believe you’re overthinking this. Just roll with it. Rain is common and special considerations for FPs, outside of automatic system-generated one’s such as “anytimes”, are unlikely.

I'm definitely overthinking. But very helpful to know that waiting in line at Guest Services is not worthwhile.

I agree with @mesaboy2. Just relax and try not to worry about it. I know that is difficult and we've all been worried about the weather at some point.

Last month I was at MK when lightning shut down every outdoor ride for almost 3 hours. It was kind of a mess, but we grabbed a snack and a covered spot and waited it out. Just expect FP lines to be a bit long when rides come back up. I wouldn't worry about any ride staying down much longer that that.

Thanks for calming me down. In the end, not a drop of rain, and DD didn’t like 7DMT.
