I'm sitting on my balcony now watching all the people who parked at Bay Lake Tower to go to MK leave. What is wrong with people? I really wish they would enforce the rules and tow these people if necessary.

I'm with you. :thumbsup2

BLT is one of our home resorts & since it opened, we have been staying there pretty exclusively. We always rent a car. Can't tell you how much of a pain in the tush it is to come home & either not be able to find a spot or have to hike back to the building.

I thought the BLT lot was locked down for only BLT guests since there is no reason for for non guests to park there aka ADRs.

As for enforcement there is a thread on the Transportation board on whether or not they tow cars and or give out 3 hour parking passes.

I'll tell ya something, here and now. If I arrive to BLT next week for my stay, and I can't find parking...I WILL look to see if there are parking passes on cars and if not I WILL be contacting someone to get those cars removed. No excuse for not being able to find a spot at YOUR resort.

Every single time I have been at BLT, there has been plenty of parking available. And yes, I also have been out on my balcony watching people drive in and park, then walk over to MK. I have watched people walk to their cars at park closing, and get in and drive away. They seem to take the spots closer to the MK though....not spots we would actually be using if staying at BLT.
I do think that every deluxe resort (that has direct park access) should have room key activated parking gates!! Just like some of the pools. There could be a smaller lot for those checking in or just 'visiting' the resort. A receipt could be given out to those people using the short term lots...if they returned, within 3 hrs, they get parking free. If they don't return, they are charged $15. Seems pretty simple to me. Sure would alleviate all these 'discussions'!!

And that system seems to work at the US/IoA resorts!! But they charge a per day fee, even for resort guests!! I don't see why a similar, but free for those staying at the resort, couldn't be implemented at WDW.

Same thing happens at the BW. Members need to contact MS and complain.
