Hi Everyone

This is my first posting at the boards, but I have been reading a lot lately, and have found so much information. I was wondering if anyone could provide tips/info about rope drop/opening for MK. We will be traveling to Disney with my DH, DD 3, DD 6mo, and my mom and dad the first week of December. We have done many trips in the past, but never tried to get to MK right at opening. Any help anyone can give would be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!!

Welcome to the boards. We will also be at WDW during the first week of Dec.
Your best bet for MK openings is to plan on getting to the park about 30-45 minutes before actual opening time. A weekday is better and not as crowded as the weekends.
Since your DD's are younger, head right to Fantasyland. You'll be able to get a good majority of that done during the first few hours.

Also, they are filming the Christmas parade at MK on Dec 1 & 2nd (possibly the 3rd if any problems), so Main St will be very crowded.

Enjoy and have a fantasmic trip!

Thanks so much!

We do have tix to MVMCP for 12/4, and I did read about the parade taping. This is our favorite place, so we will probably be spending much of our time here. Is there any specials things that happen at rope drop?

:goodvibes

There is an opening ceremony that takes place at the train station, you have to be standing outside the turnstiles to see it. There is also a show on Main Street that is super cute, this show takes place a few times in the morning.
