Mk opening procedure on EMH morning

Ok, either I'm reading contradicting info or I'm just confusing myself.

We haven't been since the welcome show changed. I understand welcome show is now by the castle and that Main St will open early for shopping, snack etc. So for a 9am open we can arrive early, enter Main St (at what time?) Then head to opening show shortly before open, then rope drop and head to rides.

How does a EMH morning work? If it's an 8am open, does Main St still open before that? Does the welcome show happen before the 8am open or before the 9am regular open?

We definitely want to utilize emh for rides, definitely want to see the welcome show, and would enjoy any early time on Main St if available, so wondering when to arrive, and when to leave ASMu. Thanks!

On EMH morning, resort guests are allowed into Fantasy and Tomorrowlands at 8:00 a.m. while offsite guests must remain on Main St or at the hub. The opening show will still be at the castle at 8:55 a.m. So you can still do a few rides and make your way back to the hub for the Welcome Show, but you won't have any early time on Main St. IMHO going back to the hub for the opening isn't worth the time, but if it's a must do for you, then certainly you should do it.

You'll still want to be at MK by 7:45 a.m., so I would be at ASMu bus stop by 7:00 a.m.

So, how do they organize people to get the on site guests into the park? I mean, will i get stuck standing behind a group of off-site people and not know where to go to get into the lands? Do they scan MBs?

We did EMH in the am a few times last week and what they did was have a line of CM with scanners and they would scan your band at the end of Main Street and if you are a resort guest they let you thru. They would let in your whole party, aka myself, dh and our 3 kids, only one of us had to scan. The same for AK, once you passed the turnstyles they scanned you. At the Studios, before you scanned into the park they scanned you.

And we stayed for a little bit for evening hours at the MK but what they did at the ride entrance was to scan your band.
