We are considering doing our MK days on the days of MVMCPs. We have two little boys who won't make it that late, so leaving by 7 works fine for us. Will the parks be extra crowded? Is there any major negative to doing MK on these days? We are going during a low crowd week.

The crowds are lower on party days. People avoid it because of the early close and no MSEP or Wishes. I have an AP, I go during the day and then somewhere else at night. It does tend to get more crowded past 4:00.

That sounds good for us, then! We will probably grab dinner around 430 or 5 both days and take some time to enjoy the lights (still before 7-I'm not trying to cheat) as we walk out. Thanks!

Agree with everything previous poster said. Just wanted to add that MVMCP guests can supposedly book FP+ for between 4-7pm, that can add to the park being more crowded after 4pm.

Nice to see you, Courtney.

Have done MK many times on MVMCP days, always less crowds for the reason Debbie said above. Enjoy your trip.

We've gone on a MVMCP day. After 4, it does get pretty crowded. We usually leave around that time, mostly because we're tired.

We love going to MK on a MVMCP day!!!
Totally agree with others that said it starts getting crowded around 4:00. We usually are riding at that time, grab a FP+ for around 6:00pm, then go for dinner between 4:00 and ADR. I wasn't aware that party goers can make FP+ starting at 4:00pm. I am pretty sure that wasn't allowed before, so I suppose that could affect the chances of getting a 6:00pm FP+.
Another potential item to be aware of... ADRs are hard to get from 4:00 to 7:00pm, so try to book (at least "something") as early as you can.

We've also left around 4:30pm and spent the evening at DTD, the resort, or another park. It's nice to have an early night - we follow it with an early morning the next day.

MK on a MVMCP day works GREAT!

Thanks all! Dan Murphy, always good to see you! I find myself spending less and less time on the boards as a working mommy of 2! I'm sure as they get older I'll have more time, but for now life is busy!!

Great info, guys. I'm booking my ADRs as soon as the window opens. I do want BOG one night, and Plaza the other, so I will be online as soon as the window opens. Fastpasses shouldn't be a huge deal for us after 4, since we will mainly be eating and enjoying the lights and atmosphere on our way out.

We are planning to do the same thing. My kids are much more interested in the rides than in fireworks, characters or the parade. I was not succesful in getting BOG - they do have less availability because you have to have party tickets to make reservations later.
