MK hours...

Is it normal for MK to close at 9 on a Saturday in December or will the hours change closer to the date?

Hours can and do change usually about 3-6 weeks in advance.
I think I'd count on MK extending hours on 12/8.
I'm still hoping HS will extend hours for 12/8 and 12/10 and MK for 12/10 but I get the feeling those aren't gonna change but I do think MK on 12/8 will.

MK has the DAH events on 12/10 so hours will not be extended that night. I'm with you on hoping to have HS open later but I'm hoping for it on 12/9

Just a small clarification and I’m sure this is what you meant, but that night (12/10) is Disney After Hours, not EMHs. But yes, you won’t see MK hours on 12/3 or 12/10 be extended past 10pm given the DAH events on those two nights (DAH event hours on those two nights are 10pm-1am).

See here is my reasoning for 12/10 lol...
HS has an event in the AM so obviously hours won't be extended in the morning but they might be at night.
And MK has DAH so obviously hours won't be extended at night but they might be in the morning.
That day I'm going to MK until 1pm then heading to Epcot and then to HS in the evening that's why I am hoping for what I'm hoping for lol.

On 12/8 I bet they do extend MK hours unfortunately I'm going to HS and Epcot that day.

Oh well it will be great any which way.

Have you looked at historical data? Many websites have hours from last year posted. If you belong to TP or KtP you can see what park hours were last year for those parks. That will give you an idea if they extended park hours during your visit. With the way things have been going lately, I doubt we will see extended park hours at any of the parks in the near future.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like there is a chance it will be open later than 9 on 12/8! That's my 50th birthday and I'd like to stay in there as long as possible to enjoy! Hehe! But if not, it's all good.

Granted past performance isn’t always indicative of future results with park hours, but FWIW, MK hours that equivalent Saturday last year were 8am-12am.

Hey that is my sisters birthday as well and me and my other sister will be in Disney. We bought my sister a Disney present last time we were there and plan to give it to her before we leave.

Anybody's guess. Sometimes they extend a month or more before, other times within a week or less.
If its not a day expected to be busy, they may not change hours at all.

MK hours just extended to 11pm on 12/8. Still ti.e for them to extend more.
Seems like MK is the only parm that has been updated today.

Well as of today the hours now say 9am-11pm! So I guess that answers my question! LOL
