MK EVENTS SOLD OUT ..... 2017 Complimentary Events - Membership Magic Ever After

I just found a piece of paper stuck in a book the other day with a date in April and my confirmation number so I am presuming I booked in April last year. I think once reservations opened up you could pick which night. Last year you had to call. I think the event was 8-12 or 7-12. I can't honestly remember and yes there was chips, cookies, mickey bars, strawberry bars and Mickey icecream sandwiches. Lemonade and water to drink. Character meet & greets and a dance party and games throughout the night. I did not feel it was crowded but we got there right when you could get in and got in the bigger ride lines.

We enjoyed the night a lot last year. It was not easy getting a tube on the lazy river, but we did. There were plenty of ice cream and snacks to go around. I remember thinking how just the DVC members and their guests really filled Typhoon Lagoon , I think the place was jammed! We were there on a day rain threatened, but luckily it did not materialize!

What were the hours for the AK event last year? I would think they could/would start earlier since that park tends to close earlier than the others.

IIRC, 9 pm to midnight. With the upcoming opening of Pandora, DAK is getting longer operating hours. During June, it's open until 10 pm every day of the month.

I'm staying ON property in March and I was able to make reservations, I believe, it was 3 days earlier than those staying off.

Did you get an e-mail about being able to register early? Or how were you notified that you could sign up?

I'm checking for July TL bookings to open, too! We want to go on the 13th.
I just saw the notice about the date change for June 22 to June 23. Eek. The date they changed was a Thursday which is now a Friday. July 13th is also a Thursday -- wonder whether they'll switch that one to the Friday as well. Guess I'll try to stay flexible!

We are hoping to get in for the TL events too. We are staying over 2 weeks so 3 of them line up over our stay. We are just hoping to get into one.

Spoke to MS this weekend, was told that onsite DVC members are supposed to get a 2 week advance booking for these sorts of after hours events...we shall see, what we shall see lol

Me too! Have learned to not put much stock in what 'inside' info MS tosses out though. Was told to keep my eye on first 2 weeks in February which didn't pan out lol.

Hoping to be able to go to AK on Sept 13th ! Disney sure does not make planning easy ! Coordinating dining reservations, FP, evening entertainment etc.

I give DVC for listening to members and (in many instances). announcing these events before the 11 month window at least.

Now, if they could only get a bit more timely in actual booking lol
