MK EE Gate Opening Question?

This is for anyone who has used EE/Surprise Morning/Magic Hour for the MK in the last 6 months or so. Around what time have they starting letting folks thru the turnstyles?

Years ago they used to open up the MK at 7:30 on a 9:00 oclock morning.

What has been folks' experiences? Appreciate any helpful feedback.

When I was there last month, they let everyone in at about 8:00am and not any earlier.

The early entry program is currently called "Extra Magic Hour", and that's exactly what it is--an extra hour. On each park's EMH day, the park opens one hour earlier than the posted time.

This perk is available only to those staying at WDW and DD resorts, and CMs will often check room keys to verify accommodations before letting people in.

Our recent experience is they don't let you in until the start of EMH.

although i was offsite, i had 8:05 ps at the castle. no one went through the turnstiles until the "soft" opening at 8am on the nose.

Ditto what everyone else said 8:00 on the dot.
However on regular mornings they let us through the turnstiles to the front part of the park at 8:45. They then did the little show with the Mayor and the characters arriving on the train and when that was over, they let us into the park, but only up to the ropes in the lands. At 9:00 on the dot they made an announcement and dropped the rope.
