I already made my ADR's and booked Tony's. After seeing some not-so-favorable reviews of Tony's, I'm wondering, which would you pick? It would be for our first night's dinner. Want to catch Spectro and Wishes which are on for that night.

What really pushed me over to Tony's was it seemed that the atmosphere would be a bit more "kid friendly" with the Lady & the Tramp theme, and if I had a choice between Thanksgiving dinner and Italian, I would choose Italian. However, some of the reviews of Tony's are getting me nervous.

So, which would you choose?

:) I think Tony's is a good choice. Spectro starts at the Firehouse gate across the street so all you have to do is walk out the door and wait for the parade. I have never eaten there but you cannot beat it for location. LTT is the Stouffer's turkey, dressing, trimmings, mac and cheese with ice cream and cobbler for dessert. Not the best on property but since they have removed the characters, we have not been back.

I haven't personally been to Tony's, but we are planning on booking it for our upcoming September trip. The atmosphere does look more kid-friendly and it has a beautiful Lady and the Tramp fountain in the middle. We love Italian way more than Thanksgiving dinner also. Haha :) I've read reviews on both ends, so they're not all bad. I think it may kind of depend on your tastes.

I'd have to go for Tony's. We've always had a good experience there, and if you time your dinner right, you can watch Spectromagic from the front porch. That's what we always do on our first night :woohoo:

I love Tony's! It's my favorite sit down restaurant at MK. I had a dessert there and it was the most amazing thing I ever had! I <3 disney desserts :)

Never had a problem with Tony's. The food, service were all great.

We did a walk up at Tony's just last week. I was nervous since a lot of people don't speak highly of it. We had a great meal. OUr server was super friendly and very attentive without feeling rushed. Food was yummy and hot! The only thing I do not recommend is the shrimp salad appie. It was very bland. Calamari, Shrimp scampi, and chicken parm were really good though. We were way too full for dessert though.

We LOVE Tony's! You won't be disappointed. The food is always great, we've been eating there for years, it's a MUST on every trip. We've never had a bad meal or bad service.

The food at Tony's is good, but if I had to choose betwen the two I would go with LTT. I love that we just walk in and the food is ready - and it is good. It is nice having a meal where you get what you get and don't have to think about ordering - lol :)

My DH and I went to Tony's on our Honeymoon two years ago and are going back during our upcoming trip in May. We had a good meal the first time. I wouldn't say it was spectacular, but it was good. I too would choose Italian food over "Thanksgiving" food almost always...especially if it's not MY family's home-cooked Thanksgiving food. :lmao:

As far as being "kid friendly", I don't remember it being geared toward children. It just seemed like a good family restaurant, but not anything like I imagine a character meal to be (although we have never been to a character meal). I personally am going to request to be seated in the solarium when we go. It seems brighter and just more appealing to me. We sat in the inner section before and I wish we would have requested the alternative.

I personally don't get the scathing reviews some give to Tony's. :confused3 Good luck with your choice though! :)

I thought Tony's was just fine. I'm not fond of the family-style dinner menu at LTT, so I'm a little biased here, I guess.
