has anyone done the mk dessert party.we have reservations so we can
get good seating for the fireworksparty:party:

You will love it. We had a great time. The desserts were awesome, and you will have a perfect view of the fireworks.

We are booked in October...can't wait! We having a big breakfast and lunch that day, so planning to get all sugared up before evening EMH. :)

We did this in Nov 09 and it was great...it was a MVMCP night and the dessert party wasnt busy at all, what shocked me was most people ate and left before the fireworks began

They had a photopass photographer there for pics with the castle background, the view was amazing, the food was excellent but I wish we were hungrier...eat a very early dinner if you are doing this party

We are booked for Sunday October 9 - and I can't wait. It will be a surprise for DD.

I attended the Dessert Party with my family last Dec on Christmas Eve. Truely a memorable experience even though it was cold/windy. The desserts were excellent as well as the view of the fireworks. We were able to see everything very well. I hope you enjoy the party.

We went last year and this year too. Very enjoyable.

1. the ADR system has a permanent glitch about the timing. No matter what time it shows for your ADR, your reservation is for the one and only Party of the evening and it begins 1 hour before the fireworks start.

2. Don't eat dinner. A large mid-afternoon lunch is the way to go.

3. Evening EMH is the absolute best way to schedule the Dessert Party! The sugar high it gives you will carry you through clear to park closing.

4. Magic Memories & You show is shortly before the fireworks. When MM&Y ends, go fill up your drinks and your plates one last time. If you decide you want to stand by the railing to watch the fireworks (some tables have a really good view but some don't and so people move up - plenty of room), tell the CM working the tables in your area NOT to clear away your plates/drinks. Then when the fireworks end, go sit back down and finish your desserts/beverages. Waiting just 10 minutes lets the logjam of people clear out and you can then head back into the park without running into the solid wall of people on Main Street.

We loved the dessert party 2 years ago and are excited to go again on this trip in less than 2 weeks! I agree with pp about filling your plate/coffee one last time and linger over your yummy desserts while the crowd clears out. Also, late lunch and skip dinner - since it's vacation, we'll let the kids have sweets for supper that night  I also recommend skipping over the ordinary cookies and brownies (though, the brownies are good and fudgy), because they have so many other tasty treats - we absolutely loved the pistachio creme brulee.

Have a great time and enjoy the wonderful treats!
