I just realized that we have planned our trip to WDW during the Night of Joy event (Sept 8-9). Not a huge deal, but we always hit MK on the day of arrival (Sept 8). MK is only open until 6:00 pm that day, due to Night of Joy. I guess no Wishes fireworks for our frist day.

We had planned on making ADR's for Ohana or Whispering Canyon Cafe, and leaving MK for dinner, then returning for Wishes. I guess the fireworks plans are out for that night, just wondered if anyone had an idea of attendance for those two days (during the day).

Thanks!

My DH and I were there last year during Night Of Joy. During the day we only saw one church group, they were a large group and all had matching shirts, so we saw them everywhere. But they were well chaperoned and well behaved. We also saw one of the popular singers that was going to be there that night. He was sitting outside BTMR with his kids. Other than that, it was no different than any other day at MK in Sept. Even though the groups can get a good deal on day tickets along with their night of joy tickets, there weren't very many there. We'd go again. It was fun! I love being able to walk on BTMR without a wait in the middle of the day!

We have been there for our last night the past two years during the NOJ and it isn't a problem during the day. As said, it is a separate ticket and doesn't affect the daytime crowd. However, around 5 or 6 when the park starts to close, the MASSES start heading toward the park so the transportation is very crowded and slower. Regardless, NOJ is a great even by WDW.
