MK--Best day for Less Crowds--Saturday or Monday?

Hi all!
I need some experienced Dis-ers to help organize my schedule for a mid November trip. Is the MK more crowded on a Monday or a Saturday?? Thanks for your input!

Mondays would be less busier. Disney is always busy. But a lot locals, people in nearby cities/counties/states etc., come in to Disney for the weekend.

Weekends usually the worst. As pp, the locals are there on Saturday and Sundays. Also, guests who are arriving over the weekend, their first park is usually MK.

You will find DTD busy on the weekends as well; for the same reason. It is the locals.

I would think it would depend on your timing. We're leaving today and spending two days at MK. We'll be there Thursday (AM EMH) which I expect to be much more crowded than Saturday - with no EMH. I did not want to go this coming Monday (8/17) - Sunday starts free dining, and I'm betting everyone coming in Sunday will hit MK on Monday.

This sounds crazy, but I find Mondays are the busiest at the MK.

I agree with PP..I think a lot of people who arrive on Sunday hit MK first on Monday. On the weekends, I think you would have more people on their travel day

Saturdays are a huge transition day with people going home and coming in. My guess is that Monday is much more crowded than Saturday.

We're going on a Monday when we visit in Sept but i think it will be busier than the weekend for similar reasons to others on here (new arrivals wanting to start at MK). I think this is backed up by the opening hours, there are no EMH's on that day but the park is open until 9pm with Spectromagic and Wishes unlike the rest of the week when the park closes at 7/8pm with no Spectro or Wishes...but we really want to see these so i don't mind it being a little busier...I know it shouldn't be as busy as July when we went last year. Plus we're spending half another day in MK for our Halloween party (we're arriving at around 2.30 so we can enjoy rides etc during the parade and before the party starts) so we'll get it all in.

Might be worth looking at the opening times tho...I suspect if Mondays are generally busier you should see some changes in opening times regularly!?...There must be a reason why it's open later with Spectro and Wishes on a Monday when we are there.

+1...our last 2 trips in '05 and '08 we arrived on either saturday or sunday and hit MK on monday and it seemed to be crowded...

We go annually and sometimes more. We found Sun is the best. NEVER GO on MONDAY. We stay at Fort Wilderness and on Sunday everyone is checking out, even locals. Even CMs will tell you MON are the worst for MK. That's thr reason we always check out on MON because we love the weekends the best!

Evening EMH's are usually on Sundays..........and I would tend to agree with this logic making Mondays a less busy day.

thats what I thought- the guides tell us to show up at MK on mondays being the best day-- and animal kingdom being the worst.

what park should people hit first when everyone else is hitting MK on Monday.

We are arriving on Saturday.

Does time of year make a difference? we are looking at next september

I think tuesdays the day they offer the special parties will be quite low.
