Hi.

The last time I went to MK for a 7 am park opening, I was staying at BLT.
This year, we will be at SSR in a THV. I plan on walking over to SSR and catching the
first bus. I would like to be at MK at 6:15 am, 6:30 am latest.
Will above be possible?

Thank you very much!

It varies. We've caught a bus from Pop at 6am for a 7am opening before. There was also a time when the first bus didn't show up until about 6:15am.

About 5:30 I believe. But @Robo might chime in, he's a little more on point with Disney transportation as I always drive myself where I'm going

Thank you both so much!

6:15 am is too late for a 7 am opening on December 30, I hop e that wont happen. 5:30 am - 6:00 am would be much better. I hope someone knows and even possibly Robo.

Thanks so much!

The MK buses will be rolling about an hour earlier than usual.
You (and about 10,000 of your closest friends) will be heading to MK from the resorts
in time for early Rope Drop.

I'm not really sure when the busses start normally.
Will there be a bus at the resort about 5:45 am - 6:00 am? Before?
Thank you.

We've done 7 am openings from Beach Club, OKW and AKV. The most recent years the first bus didn't arrive u til about 6:20-6:30.

It stressed me out because I wanted to be earlier. As far as I know at both OKW and AKV, we had not missed an earlier bus.

Here is a First Bus Time for Magic Kingdom from a stay at Pop Century.:)

I plan to do the 7am thing Saturday and Sunday. Can I expect to get maybe 3 hours in with lower crowds before it gets insane, especially on Saturday?

While the first 1 to 3 hours any park is open is ALWAYS the lowest crowd-level of any day,
the fact that Disney is opening the parks at 7AM will mean that the crowds are anticipated be higher than on any "regular" day's early morning, already.
And, by hour 3, certainly, expect to be among tens of thousands of your closest friends.

This will be exacerbated by the fact that MK, being the earliest park to open, will make it the
"designated destination park" by an excessive number of guests, even if they miss getting there in the first hour, or more.

Thank you all.
So, is it correct that normally the busses begin at 6:30 am? So if they start an hour earlier it is 5:30 am?
So confusing LOL
I really want to be at MK no later than 6:15-6:20 am. I guess I should be prepared to call Uber too and have them drop us off outside of Contemporary on the sidewalk
but the bus would be my first choice. Thank you all.

Since road traffic to MK may very well be a disaster that morning, I'd summon the Uber at least an hour (much earlier would be safer) before you normally would in order to, for sure, get you there on time.

I stayed at OKW last month, and when they had a 7am open, the first bus didn't reach the resort until 6:15, and from there traveled the entire resort, so that by the time we left the resort and on the way to MK, it was 6:32. Got to park just in time for opening show (It was Mickey's birthday). I was able to move to the left tunnel, and was able to move to front of pack to be 6th in line for mine train during the rope drop/walkback.

Thank you both.
I certainly do not want to be at MK at park opening on December 30. I would be upset.

Once I arrive at SSR, will they have a bus schedule that will show what time the first bus is suppose to leave the resort?
Will they be correct or do we all know better?

Robo, do you think that the traffic at 5:45 am - 6:00 am going to MK will be backed up already on December 30? Is it usually?
Thanks.

We are doing our 5th straight onsite holiday week this year. We have found that 7:00-9:00AM range at MK is not so bad, especially the first hour. At times, the 7:00AM RD crowd seemed lighter to us than the summer peak 8:00 RD crowd. You can get fair share of stuff done the first few hour if you are ready with a plan and on time. It will be insane in just a few hours.

Thank you. Where do you stay, what time do you leave and do you drive or take the bus.

Do you wver stay at MK until 3 am? How are the crowds between 12 am - 3 am?

Thanks so much! See you at the parks!
