Misunderstanding

Have any of you misunderstood something for a long time then finally figured it out and felt like a complete idiot?
I thought for about 5 years that when they are saying the TV line up of shows they were saying "bollowed by" but they were actually saying "followed by".
I also thought it was "Vantastic" instead of "Fantastic"
hahaha.

When I was little I thought it was "War War 2" and "War War 1" instead of "World War" xD

Or.. I always said "Bideo" instead of "Video"

Or how I always thought it was "whensday" instead of "Wednesday"

Uhm..theres a lot more that I cant think of at the moment.

Tyler, yes all the time. I just found out Dumbo's mom's name is Mrs. Jumbo, not Mrs. Dumbo.
Caitlin, I just figured that out about 6 months ago.

That's EXACTLY what I thought of when I saw this thread!
I even remember exactly when it happened. We were driving through the gates to WDW and it said "Welcome to Walt Disney World" and I gasped and was like "OH! IT'S NOT A BACKWARDS G!"

Needless to say, I got laughed at :]

My family laughed at me when I blurted out "Oh, it's a D".

Um you know the expression, the straw that broke the camels back. Yeh well up until yesteday i always imagined a camel with a thousand trillion plastic drinking straws on it's back. I even commeneted on it in an english essay. However when i told my friend this she had the biggest laugh of her life. So i assume they don't mean drinking straws then
I got a top mark in my english despite that though so it's all good. xD

Probably 'cuz I have a hearing loss in both ears. Actually, I wear hearing aids. And I'm 14. I've had them since I was 2 years old.

I always used to say buffet wrong....
instead of saying it like this....Buff-a
i would say....buff-et
my family always laughed at me and id always confuse myself with it
of course i can say it right...now

Yeah I realized that the Disney D was a D when I tried to copy the disney logo the way walt wrote it and I wrote the D and a minute later I was like OMG IT IS A D!
