So not sure if this has been asked before, but why does Disney not have more mist machines for rides while waiting out in the hot socal sun. I think the only one that I have seen is for radiator springs. I feel at other theme parks they are a good addition and don't seem to slow lines down any.

Personally not a big fan while being trapped in line...I feel like you just go from hot to hot and sticky!

Occasional mist is great but I remember them being at almost every Universal Studios line and always feeling humid.

When we went to universal years ago they had them for the Jurassic park ride, I felt like it cooled the area down by 10 degrees. Everyone is different though. I know people hate it and then you see people with the personal ones all over the place

Were going in September and I have a feeling its gonna be hot as hell and I don't do well with the high heat

I feel the same way. I don't love misters. It drives me crazy when people give them to their kids to play with in the queue and you can't get away from it!

As I write this I am siting outside in the shade in 114 degree tempatures with misters over my head and it feels almost pleasant. I would love for Disneyland to bring them in and put them everywhere in the parks but I don't see them doing it. Disney management lately seems too cheap to do anything if they can't up charge you for it.

Bring your own! It will travel with you. Or you can bring one of those Frogg Toggs towels and a fold-up fan (I got one at Cost Plus Imports for $3.00) and it does the same thing...only it's human powered instead of battery powered. :-)

Lol...I thought this was about Mr. In the plural. .. as in the gentlemen in the lineup.
Curious as to where that was going. ...

Agreed. I really don't even like it when people have personal misters and it gets on me.
Add me to the group. I don't mind when *I* feel like getting misted, but don't like it all the time.

I'm also in the group that likes personal water misters over the large ones. That way, I can be misted when I want to and not misted when I don't want to.

I recall this being brought up before. It was mentioned that it has to do with the expense of upkeep - keeping the system clean and sanitary, and the amount of water required in an area that has had drought issues recently. Makes sense to me to not have them. They did have them at Soarin' in 2016, is that one still there?

Agree with figment. The water in Anaheim has a lot of deposits and chlorine added. I'm sure Disney doesn't filter mister water. For those of us with respiratory issues and sensitive skin, it is preferable to avoid having to breathe in the water deposit/chemical particles and to avoid having it on our skin for prolonged periods. Personal misters allow for personal control.

Mister systems are notoriously prone to clogs, as well. A clogged mister is a drippy mister and has no effect on the temperature in the area. I prefer not to be dripped on.

Well we've been in a drought in California for about the past six years so that might play a part. This year is so much better but we are still not 100% clear yet. In addition I imagine the expense and upkeep are a big factor.

I fall into the group where I am glad they aren't there. In California it's a dry heat which I much prefer over the heat & humidity other areas have. It I lived there I might have a different feeling, lol.

Misters always lead to drippy messes. Other than some humidity during June Gloom, I don't really see heat being a big problem in Anaheim. Also, we also have well timed breaks from the park during the hottest hours of the afternoon.

Misters have a better cooling effect in a dry heat, and I believe they do help. I fall into the other category as I do like them, but only if they are maintained. I have them on our patio, and it does help, especially when it is 120 out. I hate to see misters going with no one under them, or the drippy misters as it is just a waste.
